Wednesday: Attended Mayhem in the morning. In early afternoon, created and published route via the Twitter on time. Tagged @F3WinstonSalem, @BaronVonWestEnd and @peteycrowder as per established protocol. Well, protocol doesn’t call for tagging @peteycrowder, but I do it to remind him that he can’t attend OGs any more due to living in the Great White North. Many likes/retweets of said route posting tweet. Success.

Thursday: Slept in a little (till after 0500). Kinda did a workout on my own. Went to work. Didn’t piss anyone off (I don’t think). Went home. Didn’t piss anyone off (I don’t think). Did some reading. Watched some TV. Went to bed. Success.

Friday: Woke up at 0445. Grabbed running gear. Left bedroom. Look out den window. Notice the rain. Fail. Need different gear. Return to bedroom closet. Retrieve more gear. Get dressed and pile alternate gear. Red Eye picks up right on time 0455. Decide upon arrival at HP that a wardrobe change is necessary. Change shirts. Rain has stopped. Run OGs without any leg pain. Success.

Honestly, when I got up this morning and saw the perfect temperature but rain again on a Friday, I thought this would be low attendance. I mean, seriously, more rain? We need that like we need another government shutdown. Alas, there it was all over the radar. Rain, rain, and more rain. And it didn’t seem like anyone was going to post today until right at 0517 or 0518. Lucky for us, somehow the window between 0522 and 0612 spared us and we didn’t get too wet. And the 4 miles uphill seemed to be OK after the 2 miles downhill to finish. No (spoken) complaints from the Pax, and there were some complainers there. Oh wait, that’s me.

Anyway, big ups to all 33 of the Pax who posted today. Some new-to-me names/faces and some Kotters today as well. Hope everyone enjoyed the route. Keep coming out. OGs and Tractors are fun.

Great to be back out there this AM. Was able to take my mind off of the…..wait for it….shutdown. Kind of a hot topic with me right now. If anyone is willing to pull a Cousin Eddie and get me a last minute Christmas gift, contact me direct. I’ll go with you…

Kidding aside (sort of), running this AM is what I needed. Good route, and good BB, Mongoose.

Let’s post some good numbers tomorrow, boys.

Fun route, great fellowship, and fantastic backblast. Thanks for leading us, Mongoose.

Thanks for stepping up to Q Mongoose. Enjoyed the recovery walk this AM with Zuckerburg and Bluto. When we weren’t holding hands and singing kumbaya we got in some good ol’ 2nd F. It is no fun being hurt and not able to run but glad we were able to omaha so we could attend my favorite work out of the week.

And for what it’s worth, we’ll probably destroy the CFA on Knollwood since it’s closer rather than our usual place. Heard Greensboro is bringing like 50 guys, so don’t want them to get lost.
