On the 48th birthday of everyone’s favorite lazy cat, the Tour arrived at Urban Assault.

Part 1 – LASAGNA

The entire workout was completed.

The Story

YHC opened with, “Let’s head to the litter box to get this thing started.”

The PAX moseyed toward the restrooms seeking refuge from the drizzling rain. Unfortunately, so had approximately one thousand birds. Judging by the smell, they had been there for quite some time. YHC quickly called an audible and the group found a more suitable location across the street.

Part 1 went according to plan.

Part 2 hurt exactly as expected.

Part 3, however, proved to be too much for one particular HIM.

Lamb Chop completed the first two evolutions, took one look at Nermal’s Revenge, and announced that he needed to run to the store for a pack of cigarettes and would be right back.

He never returned.

It reminded YHC of his childhood when his own father left for cigarettes.

Still waiting.

During the LASAGNA EMOM, Frostbite struggled to decipher what the first letters spelled. Thankfully Lamb Chop was there to help his brother.

“Lasagna, my friend. Who doesn’t like lasagna?”

There was also considerable discussion regarding the playlist. Some questioned why there was so much Irish punk rock when Garfield was Italian.

Apparently we have some color-blind PAX among us.

Garfield is a redhead, fellas.

The partner work was outstanding. At some point during the 50 burpees, either Tammy or Bootsie practically completed 40 reps by themselves. Honestly, it could have been either one. YHC was seeing stars and simply trying to survive.

Much praise was given to Pele’ for posting so early.

Today he earned hate, hate, hate, hate.

Tomorrow, when he turns ten, one of those hates has to go.

Much love to you, buddy. You’re already a significant upgrade from who your old man was at nine and ten years old.

Tammy finished the morning with a fist bump to Pele’ and the words,

“Good work, my pickle buddy.”

Out of context, that sounds strange.

Context matters.

Last weekend Tammy introduced Pele’ and YHC to pickleball. The lesson was excellent.

The greeting this morning was a bit odd.
