The Thang

Mosey to get milk cartons, yes that’s right, milk cartons. It’s fine, the school has plenty of money. Drop them off at picnic tables. Go back and get a block. As we passed the picnic tables, apparently the PAX thought it would be good to make a tower of milk cartons, taller than Tonka.

Before we start, YHC asked PAX to get in line by height and count off. Takes long than you think. Remember your number, we will use it later.

With blocks we started first station in parking lot. 4 stations with 4 exercises. Increasing reps of 6, 12, 18, 24. It was June 24 so why not. Some form of transportation between each station.

Station 1 was in parking lot, Station 2 was at wall, Station 3 same as 1, and Station 4 at picnic tables.

  • Station 1: Curls, OH Press, Block Swing, Skull Crushers
  • Station 2: Rocky Balboas, People’s Chair, Jack Reachers, Dwight Howards
  • Station 3: WW2, Boxcutters, Freddy Mercs, Low Flutters
  • Station 4: Dips, Squatty Potties, Step ups both legs, Abyss Merkins

It started well, first station done. When we got to wall for station 2, how do you do 6 reps of People’s Chair? That’s right, each HIM does a 6 count and takes awhile when there’s 14. Then reverse count with Jack Reachers. Back to station 3 and then station 4. That’s when used the milk cartons for Abyss Merkins, which is always a crowd pleaser.

Started round 2 with 12 reps. At wall, another crowd pleaser with 12 count. I think Ziffel started counting down, so we did alternating up then down. We all finished strong.

Taking longer than I thought, especially with 14 of us, I decided to end with a little memory game. So in my bucket was 14 pieces of wood with an exercise and a number. One PAX was told to pick a piece and then guess the age of whoever’s number that was from earlier. If they guessed right, we just did the exercise and reps on the wood. If wrong, we did the same plus penalty of rolling dice with exercises and difference between guess and actual age. Only did this about 5 times before we had to put everything back.

NMM

  • My initial plan was to do 2 rounds then memory game with F3 names, another 2 rounds and then end with memory game of age. There were so many of us, we didn’t make it too far.
  • I thought the memory game would be fun, since we hear these things so much we should probably remember them.
  • Drama Queen and Boomerang were confused about the music playlist, it was weirdest songs/bands not worst songs/bands.
  • Ziggy agreed that Communism is bad, especially when there are 14 PAX in the People’s Chair.
  • Tonka and Adobe liked the playlist, which makes sense because they’re just average, normal dudes.
  • Great to see Ziffel out at Parliament, but no, we will not be listening to Euro Techno.
  • Blind Date nailed Adobe’s age and Zesty was off by 10 with Crash.
  • There was so many of us so I didn’t hear all the chatter, but great to have Bruin, Nelly, Wahoo, Superfly, and Tonka out for a very warm morning.
