Dora Meets Spock at Rural Assault
QIC: Wobegon
Date: 8-27-2026
PAX: @Trebuchet @Bigfoot @Autobot @Brittani with an i
I suggest all pax, maybe after you have been at it for a minute, do two things:
- go into a blind Q, never having seen the AO
- go into an unplanned, totally improvised Q.
It’s kind of fun, and your next planned, familiar Q will feel like a breeze.
Anyway, YHC went into RA this morning having not seen the AO and with…not no plan, but not a plan.
It went like this:
Warm-O-Ramma right on time, starting at 0532. All the favorites.
The Thang:
- Dora 1-2-3. 100 merkins, 200 LBCs, 300 squats. You know it, you love it, you are not thrown off if there is an uneven number of pax.
- The Spock. This is YHC’s goofy counterpart to the F3 classic, The Kirk. 7 SSH, 14 plank jacks, 21 dips, 28 high knees, 35 vulcans (those are what we sometimes call Rosalitas). Run a lap. We got three rounds in.
- Moving Mary. Pax transported halfway between two light poles, did the called ab exercise, and transported to the end. When all were there, mosey back to the starting line. Transports were lunges, bear crawls, Apollo Creeds, and reverse lunges.
- 4 minutes of classic Mary, ending with 5 perfect-form merkins.
And done.
COT: Prayers for Brittni’s daughter starting college, Bigfoot bringing home grandfather from surgery.
NMM:
- So I did know the AO, in all honesty, just never bootcamped there. We have launched Coffee With The Runs there a few times. It’s solid.
- I had not worked out with a few of these guys before; nice to meet them.
- Everyone got it done with no complaints or lollygagging. If there is one thing no one wants, it’s lollygagging.
- I think this is the only time I can recall seeing 100% hydration-conscious pax. YHC stopped mid- Dora to grab his water bottle to fit in. Hydration Dedication: could be the move.
Transcript, thanks for the 6:10 text; you were missed. Thanks for the keys and the opportunity as well. Solid group.
Now, how do I get home from here?
