Up, Up, and Away at Conspiracy

QIC: Fokker

Date: 12.18.2019

PAX: Burns (WB), Cheesesteak (WD), Palin, Chisel, Razzie (WD), Lamb Chop, Bevo, Tar Heel, Fokker

It has been a very rough fall for YHC. YHC’s M traveled abroad a lot and we have 4 2.0s under 7, so leaving the house in the early hours was not an option. Good to be back at The Estate Monday to prepare for this Q at Conspiracy. Seeing the temps, I planned an off the path Conspiracy route that took us up Pilot View and down Brookstown to keep the blood flowing.

F3 Conspiracy 12/18/19

Warm O Rama – Joymonger’s Lot

With temperatures near freezing, we started with a decent Mosey to the Joymonger’s parking lot. The usual mix of Side-Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, some super slow Abe Vigodas, Whirly with a clap, and some overhead and seal claps. We also did some Yoga’ish stuff I ripped off from Cheesesteak’s contribution to Monday’s Estate. Some up, down, side plank, Nolan Ryan stuff that felt stretchy. After some up-dogs, down-dogs, planks, we took on Pilot View.

The Thang – St. Paul’s

I told the PAX that Google Street View did not include the railing in front of the retaining wall at St. Paul’s that was planned for some step-ups. Turns out YHC is a liar if you visit this link. After some unimpressive step-ups on the backside of the wall, we interspersed dips with erkins and derkins. We finished with some super cheesy team building with pairs doing Bropees and Booyah Merkins on their own. YHC was part of a 3-way Bropee that was moderately impressive.

The Thang – Central Library

The Thang continued with a mosey to the Central Library. Wall sits started our short library stay then we circled up on our 6s under the entrance way. Mumble chatter giggled that we looked like some sort of ineffective sit-in protest. More core work with American Hammers, Freddy Merks, and Heels to Heaven, which was the plan. When all the lights on the library suddenly came on our protest was disbanded and we raced (in a jog) back to the parking lot.

Mary – Hanes Park

Mary was shared by all nine Pax and we finished with some Abe Vigoda to stay loose for the day.

Announcements:

  • Palin shared there is a Happy Hour at JoyMongers on “Thursday afternoon”…at 7:30pm. Sounds fun and raises questions of when “afternoon” finishes in Palin’s world.
  • VanGogh has WIB tomorrow, 12/19. Burns begged people to come so he does not have to suffer VG’s torture alone.
  • Bevo has the Q at IS on Saturday…a “12 Days of Christmas” workout. No clarification on whether it is actually a 12 24-hour day workout.

Prayer Requests:

  • Joking aside, YHC is grateful for Palin’s steadfast reminder for us to pray for those struggling with addiction and their loved ones, especially in this season.
  • Burns also reminded us to pray for the lonely.
  • Bevo took the Pax out in prayer.

NMM

Mumble chatter was concerned we were out of bounds for the A.O. when in fact YHC has ventured 30-40 feet further under other Qs. We covered 3.2 miles in addition to the bootcamp exercises.

YHC is truly grateful for F3. It was missing from my life and I love working out with you all.

Gratitude also for West Salem Public House getting to host the Christmas Party! It was a joy to see so many faces I have missed this fall.

I walked up the last 30 feet of Pilot View and tried to pretend it was planned. Hugs, Fokker

Good stuff! (in the miserable, glad I missed it kind of way) If you didn’t marry a genius, you could spend more time at F3, so there’s that.
