The parking lot at Speas Global Magnetic Flux Capacitor filled (noted no attendance by Zima, Mongoose, or Thistle; go figure) as the magic hour approached, George Strait came on the speaker, and we ovaled up as the clock struck 0700.  Pax were instructed that monkey humpers were required throughout the workout if pax were not bringing up the six.

  • SSH x 20 IC
  • Imperial Walker x 15 IC
  • Forward Arm Swirlies x 20 IC
  • Whirly is Clapping x 15 IC

Mosey down to long school wall:

COT:

Announcements:

  • Total Recall is looking for a new site Q for Purgatory.  You can find him to take up the honor if you watch for the guy driving a new swagger wagon.  TR and his M are also expecting their third child.  These two announcements may be related.  #Threeisawesomebutitwillchangeyourlife.
  • DashPax Ruck on Sunday launching at 0645 from Food Lion at intersection of Hawthorne and Knollwood.  Watch the Twitter for Omahas due to the weather.
  • Weekly coffeeteria for the DashPax region after Saturday workouts is at CFA on Robinhood.  Great opportunity for the 2nd F.

Prayer Requests:

  • Burlap’s and Parquet’s family as they grieve Burlap’s father’s death.  Specific prayers of comfort and mercy from the Lord for Burlap’s mother as she just spent her second night in 70 years alone.
  • YHC’s phone spazzed out during the CoT and cannot remember any other requests.  Apologies.  Please post any YHC omitted in the comments.

YHC took us out with prayers offered up to the LORD to enable us by His Spirit to love our wives as we love ourselves, to be gentle with our children, and to honor and respect our parents and all those in authority over us.

NMM:

Great crowd this morning, and an opportunity for YHC to exercise & fellowship with several pax with whom YHC does not often cross paths.  It was beautiful to hear the encouragement that the pax were offering one another throughout.

The group completed no less than 20 pull ups and up to 40 if EC was elected.  Approximate number of monkey humpers = 500, +/- 5.

YHC’s intended plan was to lead a few sets of pull ups and variations of body destroyers.  Seeing as how neither Zima nor Mongoose made an appearance, that seemed to be achievable (Zima will be surprised to know that YHC is allowed near playgrounds, but only if YHC is willing to push YHC’s three children simultaneously on the swings).  But.  So. Much. MC.  “Are you getting paid by the exercise” was heard splashing out of Splash’s mouth.  And then all MC ceased.  Burpees and running tend to redirect the mouth to activities other than MC.  Much was made, primarily by Spam, of YHC’s eclectic playlist which including George Strait, Zac Brown, White Snake, Steve Miller, Pearl Jam, U2, Blitzen Trapper (check them out), Julie Andrews (you read that right), Old Crow Medicine Show, Marshall Tucker, DMB, David Lee Murphy, Bob Seger, and the Allman Brothers.  Spam uttered something to the effect of, “You have looked into my heart and extracted the will to live with your musical selection.”  Success.  Spam somehow managed to carry on and dominated the morning.  THE Pony Express offered a contrary opinion that the playlist was decent and additional encouragement that was much appreciated by YHC.

Green Acres is amazing.  The man was almost straight vertical on the hand-walking BTTW.  YHC noted that he also elected for EC pull-ups each time around the park.  Parquet and Ripple pushed through the BTTW pain with youthful vigor.

Cheesesteak, Splash, Burns, Bevo, Dr. Toot, Turnover and Offsides pushed the pace on the running.  Turnover had something left in the tank and made a jailbreak for it back to the launch point at the end.  Turnover, Offsides, and YHC fellowshipped over lingering damage of various sorts resulting from Zima’s WIB Q on Thursday.  Also, if you didn’t know, the background to Offsides’ name is his soccer background.  YHC expects to see him on the weekly Premier League match of the week on Sunday.  Dude is strong.

T-claps to Cheesesteak’s cat for waking him at 0400, and Undertow’s 0608 text of encouragement to YHC.  YHC appreciates his GAS group brothers for coming out.

It’s always great seeing Starfish, THE Singing Cowboy, Boomerang, Sgt. Schultz, Ink Spot, Burlap, and Bulldog.  Great job, men.

YHC was very glad to see TR back out after a tight back at #Redline on Tuesday.  TR was back in normal form pushing it.  YHC also enjoyed coffeeteria conversation with TR and Goofy, Q for the day at IS, afterwards.

TR, thank you for the honor of leading.  YHC dropped the keys into your furnace.
