Beware the Fartsack Devil!

QIC: Van Gogh

Date: 11/09/2017

PAX: Whirly (WD), Drano, Zima, Van Gogh (WB)

What a nasty morning YHC woke up to this morning… it would have been tempting to #Fartsack… but YHC couldn’t miss another #WIB Q! It was totally an Angel vs Devil on the shoulders kind of thing… So before taking the #DRP, YHC literally raised a middle finger to the rain while getting in the truck, and headed to Hanes Commons.  It helped that it was close to YHC’s house, but still, not an easy morning. Extra #TClaps to all non-Qing PAX for posting this AM, you are all #HIMs (or is it still #HIM when plural?)! That’s the kind of accountability we need, and YHC wants to be more like you all.

Location: Costco Parking Lot, Above Hanes Commons, Near the Gas Station.

CoT

  • Beer run on 11/19
  • VG looking for a new #IS Site Q at the end of January
  • ~150 Active PAX are now “Authors” on f3winstonsalem.com and have the ability to see all other site users. This is essentially a living, roster of all Dash PAX.
    • ~240 inactive PAX are listed as “Contributors”, YHC recommends the PAX look through the list, reach out via email or in person if you see them, and try to get an EH… would love for that number to be less than 200!
  • YHC took us out giving thanks for the rain, the motivation to post, and the fellowship with each other. Lifted up prayer requests from earlier in the week, and any unspoken. Asked for guidance to be better men, fathers, and husbands.

NMM

  • Well that workout sucked.
  • YHC had just over 2.5 miles recorded from 7 loops.
    • That equates to 280 Mountain Climbers, 210 Mike Tysons, 140 Jack Reachers, and 70 Donkey Kicks.
    • 210 Mike Tysons… some debate between YHC and @Zima if that counted as Merkins. YHC said yes, if you are doing them correctly. I think @Zima came around by the end.
  • The modification to Mountain Climbers instead of American Hammers was to keep our butts dry… but it also complimented the Mike Tysons and Donkey Kicks, making them harder.
  • Some brief consideration was given to running around under the gas station cover, but that’s one short loop. The rain lightened up and the cold wasn’t that bad once we got rolling.
  • Future reference, there is an amazing hill, a very long staircase, and TONS of wall space behind Hanes Commons (where Jasons’s Deli, Sweet Frog and BW3’s are). Could be the longest outdoor staircase YHC has seen in the Dash?
  • @Whirly declared he was fighting an inner battle… #DigestionProblems, thankfully he won though and the PAX were spared being collateral damage.
  • @Drano had a good modification to Ike Tysons (which is an inclined Mike Tyson), putting his hands on the curb instead… he’s so clever.
  • Great push from @Drano at the end to get YHC to sprint up the last hill… it’s no intimidator, but it is actually a pretty good one.
  • Beware the oil slicks and leaves in that parking lot when raining, YHC almost completely wiped out on round 5.
  • No @Thistle or @Lysol this AM, despite their tweets/emails. These things happen (like it did to YHC on Tuesday), and they were missed!
  • Overall, this location turned out to be pretty good, and has lots of potential for future beatdowns. Plus it’s close to YHC’s house.
  • Thanks for the keys @Lysol/@Thistle… whichever one of you is Site Q for #WIB now!

I don’t always do WIB, but when I do, I get a good workout.

I did not enjoy that. That was not fun. That was hard. I do not like doing more than 10 Mike Tysons…but that was a great workout that allowed anyone who posted the opportunity to push themselves to their own limit, which YHC did with the help of VG, Zima and Drano (especially Drano, who hung with me instead of lapping me twice like VG and Zima did).

At 5:45 I heard someone (rhymes with “Plano”) say, “Shit, we’re only 15 minutes in? That means we have at least 4 more rounds to go.” YHC was silently congratulating Thistle on his decision to fartsack plank…

I’m not sure why sometimes I use first person pronouns and sometimes I use third person references when referrring to myself, but please forgive me/YHC.

Thanks for the beatdown VG; that was super simple and super sufficient.

Sorry for the no show VG – I have regretted it ever since I awoke from my dry, warm and delicious slumber. You guys are awesome. BTW, @Zima, the Mike Tysons don’t count for you.
