11 Pax started, and 12 Pax finished the 2nd annual Polo Ridge Relay  #PRR2017 (copyright 2016 @Undertow).  With 45+ F3DashPax running in the BRR, YHC wanted to honor their work by creating a workout based on partner/team/relay work.

The Thang

Indian Run to field.

3 Man Grinder (on the drive way)

  • P1 stays in place to do called exercise. P2 and P3 run to top of drive.  P2 stays back and does a second called exercise, P3 runs back and replaces P1, who then runs to replace P2.  Repeat this cycle until all have done each exercise
  • First round was Low Flutter and Freddi Merc. Second round was Diamond and wide merkins.  Third round (YHC thinks) was squats and lunges

Catch Us If You Can

  • P1 carries P2 on his back, P3 stays back and does 3 burpees, then runs to catch the other 2.  They then rotate positions so all have a turn at each role.  Do this across the field (about 50 yards) and back

A Deconstructed Burpee Field of Dreams

  • Divide into groups of four and assemble on the baseball diamond with groups at each base. Home Plate group does Merkins, 1st Base does squat jumps, 2nd Base does Cobra Humpers, 3rd Base does Burpees.
  • Once Home plate has done 25 merkins, they run to and tag out and replace 1st base, who then run to 2nd, and so on.
  • We did this for 2 rotations

Bear Crawl Snake

  • Pax line up on the driveway in plank position. Like tunnel of love except more room between Pax.  Pax on the end, bear crawls in serpentine fashion between each pax. Until all are through #CrowdPleaser

Colonel Troutman (its in the exicon)

  • In pairs line up about 30 yards from the playground. P1 does called exercise – lunges then squats.  P2 runs to the playground to do  either 3 pull ups or 10 dips.    We did this until the Q said stop (about 3 x through)

Half Dora Suicides

  • In pairs, line up at the tennis courts. P1 does called exercise P2 does a suicide on the courts.  Do 50 merkins, 100 squats, and 150 LBC’s
  • Repeato, except flapjack at each turn

NMM

  • Tons of MC today, that started with…..
  • @Goofy’s SSH’s, which are becoming legendary. (even the kindest among the pax joined in the fun today of my special style) #GotNoRhythm
  • Then YHC made the mistake calling for the pax to get in “pairs of 3”. This led to no mercy MC and calls for …is it “trios of 2” or “pairs of 3”.  And it never stopped all morning long
  • The #BearCrawlSnake was a crowd pleaser with lots of grumbling by all, including YHC. “Goofy this was your idea” was heard more than once
  • In Mary, @SpamALot kept whining that we were repeating exercises that we did during the workout. So YHC called on him to lead one and after a long paused, called for Peter Parkers, which were way different than the Parker Peters we did earlier.
  • And the most amazing thing about all this MC is that @BAM did not show up until 7:40 or so – some excuse about helping out with the family. #GotHisPrioritiesRight
  • @DDay’s daughter showed up in time for COT and was totally unintimidated by this group of smelly ugly guys. #BraveGirl

COT – YHC took us out thankful for the men around the circle that I am proud to call my friends, for prayers on our hearts, for those in the path of storm, and asking Him to help us be the men we calls us to be.

  • Prayers, Praise and Respect for those F3 pax running the BRR this weekend. #LeaveItOnTheMountain
  • Prayers for those in the path of the Irma and those impacted by Harvey, including first responders who are rising to the challenge to help.
  • Prayers for @SpamAlot’s family who is in Naples FL and having trouble getting north due to clogged highways and gas shortages.
  • FNG Challenge – Burlap has called a challenge for all Pax to recruit FNG’s from 9/1 to 10/31. Commissions for all new recruits. Bonus points open for finding those lost Pax and bringing them back
  • Praise for @GreenAcres who had a health scare this week but is doing well.
  • Always honored to lead and be among each of you.

    Well, it was too early to pull a pure #fartsnack but had heard this F3 thing has the best 20 minute workout in town! (Even if it’s a touch exclusionary)
