Watch Out for Bears
QIC: Zima
Date: 8/26/26
PAX: Greenspan (runner), Huckleberry (runner), Schlitz (runner), Lunch Lady, Hugo, Fiddler, new Landshark, Dandelion, Picker (fng), Slowpitch (EC), Rollback (EC), Rubber Ducky (EC Murph), Head Hunter (EC Murph), Zima (EC Murph)
TIME WASTERS.
Completely irrelevant
BEATDOWN.
Use the two locations to Jamison Park coming off the Muddy Creek Greenway. #1 is the tiny path by the playground and #2 is the area by the yellow gate.
Station 1:
- 15 Burpees (Hand release and to make sure your hands come off of the ground, touch behind your head. Oh yeah, when jumping, spin 180 degrees. You’re welcome.)
- 25 WWIIs
Run along the very dark greenway between stations.
Station 2:
- 25 Thrusters (all the way down, all the way up)
- 25 Curls
- 25 Swings (make sure you can see daylight under your rock)
- 25 WWIIIs (yup, double pump)
DONE.
NMM.
- Those burpees were just plain stupid.
- Somebody test Rollback. That speed ain’t natural. He’s clearly on some type of PEDs. I mean, he was literally lapping people. That’s not supposed to happen. Hopefully his performance today doesn’t get attributed to Frostbite. IYKYK.
- Dandelion and the FNG were hot on Rollback’s heels. I’m not sure they really thought this workout was even worth their time as they breezed straight through it.
- In an unrelated note, the Q was gasping for breath roughly every 2.5 reps and contemplated calling for Body Destroyers about 6 minutes in.
- The Duck and Head Hunter went into Beast Mode and Murph’ed two days in a row. Slowpitch Murphed one day and EC ran the next so that sort of counts. Looks like these fools are getting ready for IPC.
- I will put this in writing only once … It was nice to see Schlitz, Greenspan, and Huck hang out with us after their nomad run.
- Lots of silent assassins today (or perhaps my hypoxia caused temporary hearing loss). Maybe I’ll take that as no complaints. Fiddler, Hugo, and new Landshark earned those monikers today. All work and no bitching. Some of you others could learn a thing or two from that.
- I’m sorry for breaking Lunch Lady. Can I offer you a Sloppy Joe, Slop, Sloppy Joe? Or Hoagies and Grinders. Navy Beans, Navy Beans, Navy Beans. Even with a bum leg, he powered on and didn’t quit! T-claps.
- There are no bears on the Muddy Creek Greenway. The deer may frolic alongside you. The bunnies may drag race you. The squirrels may play chicken with you on the trail. The birds may swoop high above you. The snapping turtles may trip you. The snakes may scare the living bejeezus out of you. And the coyotes may stalk you in the pitch black with their glowing eyes. But there are no bears.
FNG.
Hunter Grubbs was EH’ed by Dandelion, who is a relative newcomer himself. Well done! Hunter’s a big runner. He loves antiquing and has a big storage building full of old stuff. Two kids. He’s a physical therapist and went to WSSU. Welcome Picker (and we’re going to assume that’s from American Pickers and not nasal cavity issues).
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Sign up for IPC or else Slowpitch will cry.
- Greeny has Western Front on Friday. Bring a block.
- WIB on the Greenway led by Head Hunter.
PRAYERS:
- Lunch Lady’s leg.
Zima Out.
