Do NOT Make It To Level 4
QIC: Adobe
Date: 1-15-26
PAX: Ziggy Stardust, Drama Queen, Drano, Nelly, Cruiser, Head Hunter, Tonka, Blind Date, Show Pony, Adobe ( Q )
It was a dark, cold and windy morning in the gloomy gloom of #WeFoCo. Nelly and Cruiser were kind enough to answer the call of “Hey, if y’all are rolling in the morning, I need to leave about 10 minutes early to set up”.
We made it to the Ole Still and were surprised to find multiple cars already there. Those EC run \ ruck guys have started off strong in 2026! Respect.
We hopped out of the truck and quickly noticed the temperature drop compared to inside the truck. We got everything set up and pulled the truck back over to the other side of the parking lot. Heater was cranked! After sitting for a few minutes enjoying the warmth, we decided it was time to make the doughnuts. We hopped back out of the truck, and much to the Q’s surprise, we noticed the cones that were previously set up and neatly in place were being blown across the parking lot. Chicago didn’t have ANYTHING on Clemmons this morning. Nelly and I quickly ran to grab them before they made it to the street and Cruiser went to grab some broken blocks from the bone yard to use as paper weights.
Time to get started.
WARM-O-RAMA:
Usual suspects here. I wanted to make sure we got in enough SSH’s and Arm Swirlies to get loosened up…and warm.
SSH, Arm Swirlie F&B, Seal Clap, OH Clap, Abe V, and finished it off with my favorite, Goof Balls. ( Everyone never knows this one, but they love it after doing them. )
The THANG:
The PAX were told to mosey and go grab some blocks. And they were all cool, so they did. #FeelingTheLove
This beatdown was one that I had been thinking about. It had an IPC feel to it, and I knew it would keep us warm. I know some of the PAX were probably surprised to not hear an “OMAHA, Let’s go to Biscuitville” from YHC based on the last time YHC Q’ed the Distillery. And I still need to get back around to doing the ACTUAL workout I had planned that morning ( A Walk Down Physics Lane ). Maybe next time.
But for this morning, we’ll call this one: Welcome To The Next Level.

Partner up, Dora-ish style. ( Shared Reps, constant movement. )
Partner 1 stays behind and does 30 reps of the prescribed exercise. Partner 2 “travels” to the cones, and does the exercise listed. Once P1 finishes his 30 reps, he goes and relieves P2 and picks up the rep count. P2 then runs back to do his 30 reps. This continues until you finish all reps at each cone ( Cone 1 = 25, Cone 2 = 50, Cone 3 = 75, Cone 4 = 100 ). Once completed, you and your partner then begin Level 2, same format.
Level 1– Home = Jump Rope 30x. / Cone 1 = ( 25 HR Merkins ), Cone 2 = ( 50 Merkin Jax [ 1 Merkin \ 4 Plank Jacks]), Cone 3 = ( 75 Air Squats ), Cone 4 = ( 100 LBC’s )
Transport = Bear Crawl
Level 2- Home = Curls 30x. / Cone 1 = ( 25 Diamond Merkins ), Cone 2 = ( 50 Mike Tysons), Cone 3 = ( 75 Apollo OH-NO’S ), Cone 4 = ( 100 Freddy Mercs )
Transport = Lunge Walk
Level 3- Home = OH Press 30x. / Cone 1 = ( 25 Daniel-Sons ), Cone 2 = ( 50 Shoulder Tap Merkins), Cone 3 = ( 75 V-Ups ), Cone 4 = ( 100 Gas Pumps )
Transport = Crab Walk
Okay….so I really didn’t know how long all of this would take, so I put in a real nut punch at the end just for good measure. Much like the ” There’s a Monster at the End of This Book… – Grover. Sesame Street ” YHC tried to warn the PAX that they didn’t want to get to Level 4, which was on the back side of the weinke. They didn’t listen….

Level 4- Home = Squat Thrusters 30x. 15x. / Cone 1 = ( 10 Burpees ), Cone 2 = ( 20 Burpees), Cone 3 = ( 30 Burpees), Cone 4 = ( 40 Burpees )
Transport = Spider Crawl
Needless to say, even though all of the groups made it to Level 4….we didn’t finish!
With 2 minutes to spare, the benevolent Q instructed the PAX to put the blocks away….
Time.

NMM:
Yet again, I’m writing this backblast super late. And while there was a lot of mumblechatter this morning, there was also a lot of grunting and ” this sucks” coming from the PAX. I was all the way down on one end so I didn’t get to chat too much with all the PAX. Nelly, Ziggy and YHC were too busy crushing this beatdown.. LOL.
Strong work then morning men. Thank you for putting up with my stupidity and allowing me to lead.
Strong work to the EC runners \ ruckers. T-Claps to all you beast mode PAX for wearing the ruck pack during these beatdowns.
Until next time.
Adobe – OUT.

Ooof! Looks like a nasty beatdown. The “this sucks” comments is what I call “grumblechatter”. Good job getting some of that with these tough guys! 👏
