On January 7, 2025, Chick-Flick had his last Flatline Q, and on January 14 YHC had his first Flatline Q under watch as the Temporary Site Q. Somewhere in between there it can be said YHC’s temporary reign became official… In honor of this temporary duty, YHC wanted to do a rep for every day served. Under normal definition of the word, one might think this would be a small number, like 30? But as you all know, YHC like to go big, and that includes temporary assignment too! So after ~360 days, @Bootsie has officially taken over as the Flatline Site Q! The Torch (Pilsner) was passed. The Website was updated. And calendar permissions were granted!

So a simple plan was concocted… explore the AOs many amazing spots, and do 360 reps of 3 exercises! How do we do that? Simple! Every 2.5 minutes, or 18 times, stop and knock out 3 x 20 reps. 3 x 20 x 18 = 1080! Dang, math is awesome, we just figured out a fun way to knock out 1000+ reps with ease! It went a little something like this:
Warm-o-rama
- Mission Statement / Core Principles!
The Thang
- Start the Watch
- Every 2.5 minutes (150 seconds), do
- Merkins x 20 OYO
- American Hammers x 20 OYO
- 20 Side Straddle Hops x 20 OYO
- Incremental Burpees +1 per round (stop after 12 total burpees, it was taking too long)
- Run around the AO, stopping when the timer called:
- Launch Point 1
- Spicoli Lap 2
- 1st Street Hill 3
- Corpening Plaza 4
- Pedestrian Bridge 5
- New Strollway Bridge 6
- Cherry St / 1st St Coned Area 7
- 1st Pre Lot 8
- Winston Salem Amphiteatre 9
- VG’s favorite Bear Crawling lot 10
- 2nd Street Park 11
- 2nd Street Park loop 12
- VG’s favorite Bear Crawling lot 13
- Winston Salem Amphiteatre 14
- Parking Deck Entrance 15
- Parking Deck upper level 16
- Parking Deck top 17
- Launch point 18
Mary:
- Baked In / No Time
CoT:
- YHC took us out, giving thanks for F3, thanks for Bootsie and his addition to our group, and that this is the hardest thing we did that day
NMM:
- 2.2 miles run, 1080 reps completed, plus 12 burpees!
- The plan came together quite well, with many of our favorite spots being the actual location of the reps performed.
- Spots excluded were Dash stadium, further down the strollway, Mershel Park, getting down to 4th street, Bailey Power plant. It’s a great AO!
- All PAX agreed, this was simple but effective.
- We were all very warm by the end, as it was a warm muggy morning, as evidenced by the cool photo of our new Site Q below!
- I’ll likely redo this format, as it was a solid way to get in over 1000 reps and decent distance. Could be easy to adjust down or up based on the exercise completed.
- Ducky was moving well and provided good MC.
- Frosty might have been bored by the simplicity, but gave his stamp of approval.
- Lambchop was promised heat, how ironic given his job with Sutton Bros… I think YHC delivered!
- Dr. Toot was rocking his new goggles, which must make him more aerodynamic because he was flying!
- Bootsie had the best form out of all of us, so I expect that to carry over into his tenure. I’ve got Qs lined up through April, but I’m sure he’ll start enforcing Bootsie form before then!
Appreciate you stepping up, Bootsie. Guys like you are the lifeblood that makes our group bigger, and better year after year. The keys were placed inside your 6 pack of Torch!
