PAX: Huckleberry, Tonka

YHC woke up Thursday morning with the foreknowledge that his Q would be competing with the tempting draw to Biscuitville the Distillery guys served up as well as the utter opposite side of the continuum being IPC week 2 nomad offering at Parliament. This high sadclown potential was initially a discouraging thought, but after a quick reframe, YHC realized that a sad clown Q would give me ample opportunity to make it to Biscuitville with plenty of time to drown my sorrows in BEC biscuits and 2nd F. Things were looking up.

Arriving at the parking lot at 0525, I’m at full dopamine peak of anticipation of that hot bacon egg and cheese smell hitting my nose in another ~8min once the no-show is confirmed. Whatdoyaknow, my Huckleberry‘s shimmering white Chevy Tahoe is glowing in the parking lot like the lighthouse to my sadclown life boat. I’m saved!!!

Huck was already down and dirty getting his stretch on when YHC rolled in and jogged over. He too was grateful for the company. We paused briefly for a flashlight that emerged from the darkness in the direction of Zima’s house. Alas, it was an elderly man walking (who appeared startled at our meeting and quickly turned and strolled briskly away from us). Definitely not Zima behavior. We wasted no more time and hit the pavement.

REPEATO

The two of us got in 4 rounds at a nice conversation pace for exactly 3mi and a healthy portion of reps.

NMM

Conversation ranged the spectrum from Race Van diaries to baby wipe “shower” best practices to GI theory to “is it self care to go party at a concert in FL for the weekend instead of study for your exam?” to perpees are not harder than normal burpees to bringing back the Turnberry and how did the bathroom light turn on ominously since the last lap?

High quality company and a very enjoyable morning.

Thanks for letting me lead.

Tonka
