Baseball Trivia at The Distillery

QIC: Slowpitch

Date: 09.03.2026

PAX: @dr.toot (WD) @blind date @slowpitch @van.gogh

Today was a beautiful morning under the lights and what better way to get it going than some Thirsty Thursday baseball trivia at The Distillery.

With IPC going on and folks training for different types of races, I thought I would go with a little fun today. I know college football has started, NFL is right around the corner but nothing beats some playoff baseball (I may be a little biased but man I love some playoff baseball). Will the Braves hold on to make it? I sure hope so!

Anyway, we had a good time today under the lights. Enjoyed some baseball tunes and answered some baseball questions. Oh and for the record, we got to 2 strikes but we never struck out!

The thang:

A PAX would pick a number 1-100. The question was read and attempted to be answered.

Get it right – Single – Run to first and do 9 Flutter Kicks
Next question get it right – Double – Run to first (9 flutters) and Run to Second (9 squats)
Next question get it right – First base exercises, Second base exercise and then Third base (9 Triceps Dips)
Next question get it right – First base exercises, Second base exercice, Third base exercises, Home plate exercises (9 hammer curls) – HOME RUN!

If you got the question wrong – 5 merkins, 5 CCD’s, 5 WWII’s
If you struck out (which we never did) 5, merkins, 5 CCD’s, 5 WWII’s and a lap around the parking lot

Nmm

When Blind Date and I arrived the thought of Biscuitville crossed our minds if no other PAX showed up…but then rolled in Van.Gogh just as we were talking about his Burp-Up count. Although Blind Date said he didn’t know much about baseball, he held his own and answered most of his questions correctly. Sounds like someone needs to host Soccer trivia and Blind Date will be all in!

Van.Gogh showed up, walked towards us and said “I am going start my Burp-Ups but I will warm up with y’all”. He did join us later in the beatdown after CRUSHING 1/3 of his Burp-Ups. What will come first, baseball salary cap or van.gogh fundraising burp-up cap?

Dr.Toot knew his baseball! Ask him about the 1970’s Baltimore Oriels and he can name the starting lineup. I think his new nickname should be Base Mover as he had some beef with second base (cone) today and kept kicking it. Toot also shared with us that he has never smoked pot but loves the smell (as we were putting back our blocks and smelt the stench of fresh skunk).

Had a lot of fun with the guys this morning doing some baseball trivia and listening to some baseball tunes. Thank you for letting me lead Blind Date. I put my PEDs to use and hit the keys out of the park, someone will Henry Rowengartner them and “Throw it back”
