Seven HIMs. Pouring rain. Cold from start to finish.
No excuses.
The Thang
With rain pouring from the opening disclaimer until TIME, the PAX took on a HIIT-style accumulating beatdown. Every round added one new exercise while finishing with an increasingly longer shuttle run.
YHC made one modification before the workout began. The original plan called for every cone to be spaced two parking spots apart. Instead:
- Cones 1–5 were spaced 2 parking spots apart.
- Cones 6–10 were spaced 1 parking spot apart.

Some days the PAX win the workout.
Some days the workout wins.
Today, the workout won.
At the back of the pack, YHC completed seven rounds and started Round 8. Most of the PAX completed Round 8 and started, but did not finish, Round 9.
With five minutes remaining, we moseyed to the picnic benches for the finisher:
- 20 Burpee Bench-Overs (OYO)
TIME.
Moleskin
Rollback was a big fan of all the side squats. YHC is glad you enjoyed them. Truth be told, they were included more for YHC than anyone else as an effort to strengthen a stubborn IT band.
The biggest surprise of the morning wasn’t the rain—it was the winkie. Instead of the usual piece of cardboard, YHC showed up with the workout written on a full sheet of plywood. The craftsmanship received almost as many compliments as the workout itself. If we’re setting Tour standards, cardboard is officially out.
Today YHC also learned that Pele’ is in Dr. Toot’s will. This is outstanding news. Now all YHC needs is someone willing to cover a college fund and retirement, and life will be complete. Applications are now being accepted.
Starfish quietly led from the front all morning, putting in steady work without saying much.
Frostbite graciously hung back with YHC as we slowly ground our way through the later rounds. Much appreciated, brother.
There was plenty of discussion between Pele’ and Lamb Chop regarding the current Tour standings. Lamb Chop believes he is the clear leader with everyone else simply trying to keep pace. When asked for the official point totals, YHC encouraged everyone to read the backblasts and do their own math.
Speaking of the Tour, all three of the current top contenders were in attendance this morning, each doing their part to make sure next week’s champion earns every point. There will be no free lunches in this competition.
Tour Update
With only two stops remaining, every point is magnified. Launch Pad and Parliament are all that stand between the contenders and the championship belt. The battle at the top remains tight, and every HIM in the hunt knows there will be no free lunches over the final week of the Tour.
COT
Please keep the men at Samaritan’s in your prayers.
Q School is next month. Come out and invest in the next generation of leaders by encouraging those who are new to our community to step up and lead.
Don’t forget softball this Sunday. It’s a great opportunity for a little 2nd F and an easy chance to EH someone who has never experienced F3 before.
