Prayer Requests:

  • Bevo’s family as they had a tree go through their kitchen ceiling on Monday.
  • Frostbite’s brother (and all who are) going through substance abuse/addiction.
  • Morning Glory (pax at Project Cornerstone / Samaritan’s Ministry).

Announcements:

  • Spicoli is keeping the keys and Qing Urban Assault.
  • YHC has the WIB Q tomorrow. Digging into the archives for some inspiration.

NMM:

  • Spicoli, honoring his HC, and Frostbite both pulled into the lot with time to spare. Frostbite emerged proclaiming, “You don’t know how close I was to turning back over in the bed.”
  • This would not have been fun to do alone, so YHC Is thankful that those two showed up today.
  • “The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design and control.” That quote from the original Greenspan in one of YHC’s favorite quotes.  The man lived a remarkable life.
  • Spicoli, a math wizard, asked, “What was he doing prior to 1977?”  He was actually a jazz musician who had attended the Juilliard School.  Connections through music then led to him landing a role in the Nixon administration on the Council for Economic Advisors.  Source: https://graboyes.substack.com/p/from-saxophone-chair-to-federal-reserve
  • His musical background coupled with his presiding over the Federal Reserve during a long period of economic health resulted in him being nicknamed The Maestro.
  • His reputation is admittedly tarnished by the housing crisis of 2008, but that is, in YHC’s opinion, at least equally a result of Congress failing to do its job.

Thanks for the keys, F&B.  As usual, I left them on Pilot View.
