Snake Eyes put out the APB yesterday that he was under the weather and needed a reliever to take the reins at WIB. YHC let the call go unanswered for a little while, but the anxiety that @huckleberry would pick it up soon overcame me so I did what any responsible pax with similar concerns would do. Hanes Park was the call, and 4 other pax answered it.

WoR: SSH, Whirlies, Michael Phelps x12 IC. Side note – I always do WoR x12IC if Root Canal is in attendance. Gotta have that sonorous baritone “11!” to kick off the beatdown.

The Thang: 5 stations for a loop that I thought was ~.38mi but turned out to be more like .51mi. 20 was the number of the day.

• Station 1: base of the intimidator… 20 derkins
• Station 2: clover x carolina… 20 mtn climbers
• Station 3: base of the intimidator… 20 dips
• Station 4: entrance to the track… 20 squat jumps
• Station 5: run around track to shelter… 20 american hammers

Repeato for time. VG & LB made it through 6 full circuits, while the remaining three got through the dips on lap 6. Fantastic 2nd F. Some general musings about @cherrypie’s comments on the preblast and whether or not they constituted a HC. @snakeeyes and @greenspan wer also missed, and as we were beginning to be sad for our loss we determined it’s best not to dwell on what could have been but to be thankful for what we’ve got. Or something like that.

Announcements: A few convergences (convergi?) coming up, the first of which will be On Sat 11/26 at Purgatory. YHC will be leading Q school beforehand. Other convergences on 12/24, 12/31, and 1/7 (all Saturdays).

Prayer requests: Continued prayer for the Hanson family, for Jack Wixson (Pony’s 2.0), and for my sister-in-law.
