Nuance abounds at #UrbanAssault

QIC: BAM

Date: 11/04/2022

PAX: Frostbite (WB), Ziggy Stardust (WD), Abe Frohman, Post Hole, Gretel, Spicoli, Tonka, Schlitz

YHC hasn’t assaulted the urban in quite some time.  Mostly because #runningisstupid and training for a race that got washed out preoccupied the Q.  So, it was good to get back to George Bailey’s old stomping grounds with the boys!

The “man” tried to keep pax away by putting up blockades at all the surrounding street intersections.  But pax were undaunted.  They improvised, adapted, and overcame!  All to arrive on time and ready to go!  (Spicoli was on time for him)

The F3 exicon is always a treasure trove of ideas and prep for this Q was no exception!  It provided a full body beatdown and bringing tunes!

Warmorama

  • Mosey around the park, at each corner or so, do a different exercise

The Thang

Mosey to parking deck for….

CINDY CRAWFORD – the “goal” is 20 sets in 30 minutes.  Umm, we did not hit that mark.

  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 merkins
  • 15 squats
  • 20 LBCs
  • 25 Calf raises
  • Repeato this set for 30 minutes!
  • Every 10 minutes, the Q gave the pax a break and we ran up a couple levels of the parking deck

Mosey back to start for 60 seconds of planking

NMM

  • Welcome Primo!  He was down range from corporate HQ in Charlotte.  He seemed nice, so not sure if he’s really from Charlotte
  • Frostbite claimed the song list as kinda random and lacked nuance. Fancy Wake kids…
  • Spicoli joined us at the parking deck full of joy and fancy words
  • There was a debate between Abe Frohman and Tonka about who has longer legs (or something like that)
  • Gretel was silent assassin and just got it done
  • Schlitz was taking merkin pointers from Spicoli
  • Post Hole somehow woke up at 0415 from his alarm, decided not to get up then, but managed to wake up on his own about 30 minutes later #impressive
  • Burns was gonna post, but had stomach issues
  • I’m a Little Unsteady came on as we were finishing up in plank.  Primo was impressed by the “song to exercise” coordination by the Q
