Poor planning on my part to have the Q the day after Memorial Day. Thankfully I was exempt from the Blackbeard Challenge due to my wife’s work schedule, but any day you have to Q after a Murph + lots of day drinking is a recipe for disaster. Thankfully we averted such circumstances this morning due to a hard-working group and a semblance of a plan… Everything would be done in a multiple of 6 today, as it was the first day of the sixth month. Prior to the beatdown I had the pleasure of running 2.7ish with Crash – great run at a solid pace with some good 2nd F.

WoR – SSH x12ic, Imperial Walker x12ic, Abe Vigoda x6ic, Whirlies x12ic, Hillbillies x12ic, Copperhead Squat x12ic, Arm swirlies forward x12ic, backward x12ic, OH Clap x12ic, Jack Reacher x12ic, Michael Phelps x12ic.  YHC needed to get loose.

The Thang – circuits of four exercising in increasing reps … 6, 12, 18, and 24.

Circuit 1: (a little complicated)

  • Mosey to the big wall at the end of the parking lot
  • Line up along the wall
  • Assume BTTW position, and hold while each pax does 6 Austrialian Mountain Climbers going down the line
  • Assume High Plank position, and hold while each pax does 12 Mike Tysons going down the line. Once the pax in front of you in line does 6, begin your set. (the confusing part)
  • Assume Al Gore position, and hold while each pax does 18 Fast Feet on the curb going down the line. Once the pax in front of you in line does 6, begin your set.
  • Assume People’s Chair position on the wall, and hold while each pax does 24 Jack Reachers going down the line. Once the pax in front of you in line does 6, begin your set.

Circuits 2 & 3:

  • Mosey to the picnic tables
  • 6 step ups each leg
  • 12 derkins – option was given to modify to irkins and no one accepted
  • 18 squatty pottys
  • 24 dips
  • Repeato

Circuits 4, 5 & 6:

  • Mosey to the blocks
  • 6 blockees – option was given to modify to goblet squats and no one accepted
  • 12 OH Press
  • 18 Bent over rows
  • 24 Curls
  • Repeato
  • Repeato

Circuits 7 & 8: Repeato 2 & 3

Circuit 9: Repeato 1, replacing Australian MCs with Canadian MCs (hold a plank with your arms on the wall at a 45 deg. angle with the ground, then mountain climb)

Mary: Muttons x12ic each leg, LBCs x12ic, Low flutter x12ic, Low Dolly x12ic, and APDs (if you know you know) x12ic.

NMM: Really strong group of guys this morning. I loved meeting Giles, that guy especially gets after it and he hasn’t even been out for 2 full weeks – I smell a regular! Not a lot of mumble chatter, because counting is hard and takes up a lot of mind space. Confusion on that first circuit came when we moved into the “transitional period” between pax…YHC will take the blame for unclear instructions. ‘Circuit’ is a word that looks weirder and weirder every time you type it. Parliament is great, everyone should go.
