An abridged ARMageddon

YHC was in the mood for a tough, arm focused beatdown… the name dawned upon me: ARMageddon!! The plan was coming together, a beatdown that would leave the arms completely smoked. Unfortunately, it was 26 degrees and all plans involved rocks… even with thick gloves that might be too much, and  YHC didn’t want to be TOO cruel. So some plans were saved for later… and the final product looked like what is below:

Merry Mary

  • No time

CoT

  • F3 blood drive is February 20.  Splash and/or D-Day will be posting more details
  • Beverly is running 43 miles Saturday to raise money for H.O.P.E.
  • Prayers for Sgt Shultz who is now recognized wrong from a stroke and getting a stint out in his carotid artery to clear a 90% block

NMM

  • So the final version subbed in more burpees than originally planned… which worked well as we were all sweating right off the get go. Total reps were: 52 WWIIs, 52 Merkins, 84 squats, 84 burpees, 91 count of OH Press, and 182 curls and 1.8 miles.
  • #Kotters to Crash Test Dummy returning from a hiatus due to a neck injury and Covid precautions. Not a warm welcome back, but YHC was happy to see him.
  • Splash cleverly asked what’s that place in Nebraska where they make great steaks – Omaha I answered, knowing he obviously wanted to stop with the burpees. The suggested change was to do 14… no dice.
  • After the last burpees of the first set were done, YHC happily declared “Great news! It’s only 5:49!!” That wasn’t met with much joy and excitement, go figure?
  • Dr Toot downsized his rock about 2/3 of the way through our Curling Cusack set… I bet he’s feeling it right now! YHC surely is after 182 curls with only some Cusack time for recovery. (Turnover loves that word.)
  • Speaking of TO, catch his burpee penalty video on Slack… he HCed and failed to post, and honored the burpee penalty, so all is forgiven! We take those HCs seriously, men! BTW, this is not meant to deter men from HCing, it’s to keep us held accountable – which is what we are all about!
  • Tweety Bird, if you are reading this, I meant to get you on Slack! Solid work this morning!
  • “Post hole”??? More like “Fast hole” as he sprinted around at the end of each round. Dude is a beast, and You can always count on him to push the men next to him (with a smile on his face).
  • Some of the tricks from the planned ARMageddon will be used at a later date…. You’ll thank me later!
  • TClaps again to Splash for coordinating the blood drive, search for “Fitness Fellowship Faith” as the sponsor code in the app and register!!!

Great work this morning, men! Thank you for posting and giving it your all this morning. Best start to my day,
