Announcements:

  • Seven-year anniversary (which is today) beatdown is Saturday, 1/9/21. The same workout will be held at three locations at the same time to reduce the risk of spreading the virus:  Speas Global School (home of Purgatory), Hanes Park (home of Impossible Situation), and River Oaks Community Church.
  • Beverly is running 43 miles on January 16th for his 43rd birthday, and he is looking for people to run portions with him. He is raising money for HOPE.  The plan is for the run to begin at 8 am and finish at 5.  He promises to run “slow”.
  • 2021 challenge is live. Goal is 20,210 merkins, WW2s, squats, + 10,105 burpees (we got 37 burpees today).  There is a spreadsheet and channel on Slack.
  • We will park on the backside of Sherwood Elementary for The Iron Throne going forward.

CoT:

  • Burns’s mother-in-law is having knee replacement surgery in Hickory this week.
  • Bullwinkle is having hernia surgery Tuesday (1/5/21).

Moleskin:

  • Everyone got after it physically.   And YHC saw plenty of fellowship occurring too.
  • Four pax got in a few leisurely miles around the new AO this morning. As the Nantan noted on Slack, there are hills, hills, and more hills.  Use them well.
  • Yorkshire can hold its own with any hill in Dashville proper.
  • It was great to see a strong number out this morning. Hopefully we will continue to see good and continually improving numbers for the only bootcamp in the city on Mondays.
  • FNG Alex Luz, now known as Michael Bolton, is a software engineer for a company based in Utah. He moved here when his wife took a job at Baptist.  He’s an avid runner and a home brewer.  In related news, an FNG was named “Swingline” a couple of months ago over the advocation by Tigger and Van Gogh for “Michael Bolton”.  The opportunity to utilize the name arose again today and the pax jumped at the chance.

YHC apologizes for losing it a bit during COT.  YHC appreciates all of you and F3 Nation a great deal.

Thank you, Tigger, for the opportunity to lead.  This is an awesome AO.  The keys are in the tunnel, so you might want to grab a buddy if you venture down there to retrieve them.
