No Bell No Whistle

When The Singing Cowboy asked if YHC would Q at bells and whistles several months ago I was excited about the opportunity to lead a group of men that I have not worked out with before.  there was plenty of time for me to post to BnW to see what the workout was like and possibly obtain one of the bell thingies.  the weeks went by and I continued my routine of Mayhem each week.  When cowboy reached out earlier this week about the Q, I immediately follow up with of course Im ready…….but where do you meet………do you have a “bell” that I can use………..and what is the workout like.  He replied Regan High tennis courts, yes I have a bell, and whatever you want.

YHC shows up to the AO with cowboy waiting.  It was humid…… very humid.  cowboy graciously hands me a 30lbs kettle bell – “what the hell do I do with this!?”  your workout he replies.  YHC had not planned for 30lbs but oh well, too late now.

0530 – Mosey warm o rama – SSH mosey 40 yards, IW, mosey, windmill, mosey, hillbilly, mosey.

Thang – 5 cones set up like a STAR at the edge of the parking lot.  one cone in the center.

place your bell at the center cone (this is also where the speaker was with the music playing Cobra).

Sprint to one point of the cone, perform 5 merkins, sprint to center for 5 inverted shoulder press on both sides, sprint out to another point of the star for 5 merkins……….until you complete the star.

Round 2 – outer points – Parker Peters.  Center – reach merkins to kettle bell

Round 3 – outer points – burpees.  center – curl to press

Line up a lamp post in parking lot.  there are 5 lamp posts up the road back to the starting point.  SUICIDES!

suicides with the lamp posts…..the kicker…….first one back to the start point each time must pick up kettle bell and carry it the rest of the way.  This helped everyone finish together.

back at start – kettle hoppers (log hop over kettle bell 5 times followed by 5 lateral raises) – complete 2 rounds.

Mary – LBC…….crap…..I forgot the goblet squats (they were suppose to be part of the suicides).  10 goblet squats IC.  low flutter.  10 goblet squats IC.  Lateral raises.  FIN

NMC – HUMID.  YHC encouraged all pax to post to mayhem – way less humid.  there was some moaning and requests to stop the burpees but overall I was focused on pushing that damn 30lbs kettle bell around and didn’t pay attention.  congrats to FISH STICKS – second post in 3 days and getting it done!  All pushed hard this morning and I was extremely impressed.  Great to workout with Footlong again this week as well.  Lace is not human, he can’t be slowed down.  Great to see Winklevoss!  I haven’t worked out with him in a while.

Cowboy, thank you for the keys.  I crushed them with your stupid kettle bell.

    Gotta say that Huck Qs a strong beatdown AND posts a strong BB every time.

    Glad I went to Mayhem.
