PAX: TPS, Argyle, Touch Me Not, Huckleberry, Wobegon

TPS, Argyle, Touch Me Not, Huckleberry, Wobegon

We started with a small group of three, then the clown car of two with Touch Me Not and Huckleberry arrived. It all went like this.

Warm-o-rama:

  • Side straddle hop
  • Imperial Troopers
  • Arm Swirly forward and back
  • Overhead claps
  • Abe Vegoda

The Thang:

Saunter over to the curb by the covered area. Partner up, partner 1: fast feet. Partner 2: 20 merkins. Repeat to each partner has done 100 merkins. That means 5 reps. Not 4. YHC said 4. Don’t  know why. But after giving the instruction the pax looked confused. Internal monologue: “What the hell, this is a fairly simple routine guys, why the perplexed looks?” We all really appreciated TPS pointing out the accounting error. We got to it.

Recover, saunter to the flag pole.

Lunge walk to the end of the lot, at each light post stop and do 5 LBCs. Counting is HARD but I think there was 5 posts.

Slow mosey around back to the rocks. Grab one and come up by the light post.

It’s not uncommon to see playing cards used as a way to randomize the workout. I think the F3 mothership even sells customized cards for this purpose as well. YHC could not find any playing cards at the house but there is always a pile of old baseball cards around my house. So batter up, her’s what we did:

  • 19 cards placed on the ground
  • One pax draws a card.
  • If the card has a pitcher: arm exercises
  • If the card has a fielder or hitter: Ab work
  • Draw a rookie: 5 burpees than appropriate exercise
  • We worked down this list, 20 each:
    • LBC
    • Heels to heaven
    • American Hammer
    • Mutton Crunch
    • Curls
    • Overhead Press
    • Skull crushers
    • Bus driver
    • Bent rows

It was random. The pitchers kept showing up early.  We got through each group at least twice.

Rocks up, mosey to start for Mary:

  • Freddy Mercs
  • Penguin Crunch
  • Run out the clock with elbow planks

Ballgame!

Appreciate the math lesson and the good nature of the Pax. Hope everyone got a full 9 innings of workout. Glad to see Argyle easing back in from knee surgery. TPS is a TRQ regular and always brings it. Touch Me Not always has the silent and strong effort. Huckleberry also rehabbing a knee, was not slowed down at all as far as I could tell.

Great work, an honor to be there with you.

No major announcements or spoken prayer requests. Kapows 5k fundraiser this Saturday.  Argyle took us out.
