TRQ 200!

16 Pax celebrated the 200th TRQ in style this morning.  It went something like this: 

Warm-o-Rama

We started with SSH then ran, karaoke’d and bear crawled between other warm up exercises until we were all the way across the parking lot.  Then we did the following stuff: 

The Thang

Circuits with 200 Reps Total

Choose two rocks – one smaller, one heavy.  When you get too tired to have good form on your heavy, go to the smaller rock.  

For clarity, 1st round we did 20 JS, 30 SC, 40 Curls, 50 OHP, 60 LF, 2nd round 20 Clap Merkins………

20 Jump Squats/Clap Merkins/Burpees

30 Skull Crushers/Lunges (15 each)/Bent Rows

40 Curls/OH Press/Skull Crushers

50 OH Press/Squats/Calf Raises (with rock)

60 Low Flutter/LBC/Penguin Crunch

 

Dora 200 (P1 does exercise, P2 transports self to point and back)

Merkins – 200. (P2 does Karaoke) 

Squats – 200 (P2 does Backward run up, the run forward back)

LBC – 200 (P2 does bear crawl up or until tired then runs back)

Out of time so….FIN

  • Pax had the jokes, aided by the ever MCing @BAM.
  • Kotters to @Bubbles who is originally from Champagne IL.  BAM pointed out should have been named @DonHo due to his 1966 hit song, Tiny Bubbles. #TheThirdStepNameIsTheBest
  • @Bueller made some comment in warm-o-Rama that elicited gee haws from the Pax – something about his M still sleeping.  #MissedItDueToCounting
  • Huge Tclaps to @Wobegon and @ShortSale who carried on the tradition of #TRQ so well as site Q’s following YHC.  
  • This non running workout was started for selfish reasons.  I was given word by the doc to substantially reduce my running and TRQ allowed me to stay part of this group that has become an important part of my life
  • Through TRQ and F3 I have developed great friendships and men who make me a better man.  You inspire me every day
  • I humbly hope that TRQ has given something back to each of you in return.

    Great stuff and great leadership as always. Always a good time. Except that 200 merkin thing, that wasn’t good, that was awful. But #TClaps to the Palin/Bubbles combo as they kept knees off the ground and perfect form through all 200! (I’m sure there were others, but that’s who YHC saw)
    If my doctor ever saw me run, she would offer the same advice I’m sure. #likewatchingElainedance #makeitstop

      I don’t think Bubbles realized knee merkins were an option, he’s still learning about the modify as necessary. 200 was pleasantly excessive. Great workout Goofy. TRQ was my first F3 workout, almost 2 years ago, the lack of running lessened the intimidation factor but as I remember the warmup had me pretty well smoked. Thanks to all of you for making and keeping this crazy thing going.

    Tclaps @Goofy! YHC would have liked to have been there but had to kick it at @TheDistillery (which is another AO started for selfish reasons) this morning due to my usual schedule/time conflicts. I can also say that if I went to the doctor, he/she would tell me to stop running, and not just because it’s stupid.

    I didn’t drop to my knees the whole time during the 200 merkins. If you let your partner do 160 of the 200 it’s not that bad.
