What a weekend! Team 235 – F3WS – Only Here 4 The Bourbon brought everything they had to Louisville, KY and left nothing in the tank upon arrival in Lexington, KY. 203 miles covered; 13 towns and 6 Distilleries visited; Estimated 30-40 of bottles of fine Kentucky bourbon purchased and carried back to Winston-Salem NC. Lot’s of fun had by all.

If YHC had to sum this trip up in one word it would be “Inspiring”. F3 is truly life altering. It is safe to say that all involved with this team accomplished some sort of feat this weekend that was either thought impossible or unlikely. Some set distance PR’s. Some set 5k and 10k PR’s. Some set and reset those PR’s all in one weekend. Amazing work by all. Amazing 2nd F!

Finish Time: 35:11:51

This year we saw a lot of teams quit the race. We saw a lot of teams pulled from the race for being too slow. We even saw teams “Leap frogging” exchanges so that they could finish in some capacity. This team did not quit, leap frog, or get pulled from the course.

We finished! And We finished Strong!

There is no way to adequately capture what happened this weekend in a mere backblast. Suffice to say this was an epic adventure with some amazing men. From driving through TS Michael just to get there.
To show you how awsome this group was, this team set the fastest recorded finishing time for any F3 Winston Salem team that has EVER completed The Bourbon Chase. Let that sink in.
Thanks to everyone involved in this fantastic experience.
Oh, and I am still waiting for my soup!!!

Amazing trip! Amazing group! Amazing experience! YHC definitely stepped out of his comfort zone, but that’s what F3 is all about. Appreciate the push and the support from all my F3 brothers! I never would have done something like this without F3!
