Sour Mash’s turf war theme from Friday’s BBBC/Tractors/OGs mashup continued over into today’s edition of VI.  Shortly after agreeing to Q the workout, YHC learned that many of the “regulars” would be skipping VI for their OH4TB training regimen.  YHC may have referred to them as traitors on Twitter but all was good.  As evidenced on Friday, the work that those guys are putting in is amazing.  YHC even let a few of them join the obligatory Village Selfie after the workout.  T-claps to Van Gogh for the selfie stick arm.  No way YHC was getting 12 faces into the frame.

Q-fail this morning on the block work.  It generally helps to have blocks.  Maybe that is why the other Qs haven’t been going back there lately.  Thankfully Veggie Mite found some abnormally long bricks in the dark.  Most pax took two of those, which seemed to be sufficient.

This morning’s humidity made the shelter work atrocious.

Mumble chatter was pretty solid this morning.  YHC heard complaints about the Indian Run, the shelter and on every iteration of the partner work.  The final round of burpees was a real crowd pleaser.

Kotters to Skid Mark – welcome back!  YHC believes that this was the first time working out with Buttermaker – strong work!  Enjoyed the three man partner work with Fingers and Hacker.

T-Claps, 1040EZ! Very creative workout that kept us moving and working hard. Kotters to Skidmark, YHC’s partner in running back and forth in the parking lot. Great push and we crushed it!

Great workout, EZ. Like the variation on DORA, counting runs vs reps. Skidmark!!

Thanks Burlap! The routine may have a name and I may have done it before at another workout but I don’t remember. I liked it though – I sort of viewed it as completing the reps for yourself but getting yourself down and back as fast as you could for your partner. I’ll definitely be incorporating it again.
