It’s only 4/6/8 more reps, right?

QIC: Red Eye

Date: 5/14/2018

PAX: Greenspan, Fokker, Snookie, Blue Steel, Roosevelt, Cobra, Huckleberry, Touch-Me-Not, BAM, Balco, Pita, Hedwig, Chisel, Tuco, Swiss Miss, Plunger, Razzie, QIC: Red Eye . . . and three more that YHC couldn't make out in the recording.

21 Pax and a very loud mulch truck gathered at Reynolda Village for this week’s edition of the Estate.  There were also #fastholes lurking nearby, but we won’t speak of them.  YHC hasn’t posted at The Estate for almost a year (Qd on 5/22/17) as I’m usually kinda paranoid that no one is going to post at The Outhouse.  Numbers are usually on the lower side of ideal at that AO, although we’ve had some good numbers as of late.  YHC had actually planned to use the following Q plan at Outhouse about a month ago . . . but no one else posted that day.  So I figured I’d try it out at The Estate instead where it’s a fair certainty that half of the FoCo pax will show up, regardless of how many other solid AO offerings exist.

Jimmy Page started jamming, Robert Plant started wailing, and the pax got their blood flowing . . .

Warm-o-rama

SSHs
Arm swirly things forward/backward
Airclaps
Abe Vigodas
Whirly’s got the clap
Imperial walkers

Mosey to the field by the lower parking lot (dodging the mulch truck driver sitting on the steps and said idling mulch truck)

Tha Thang

The plan involved five, 1-minute rounds of two exercises where the first exercise increases in number during each round and the remaining time in the minute is spent doing the second exercise.

First pairing:
Burpees/LBCs – 4 burpees/balance of minute doing LBCs, then 8 burpees, then 12, then 16 (cue f-bombs from Cobra), then 20.

Mosey to rugby field

Second pairing:
SSHs/WWIIs – 8 SSHs/balance of minute doing WWIIs, then 16 SSHs, then 24, then 32, then 40.

Mosey to intersection that YHC doesn’t really know how to describe at the bottom of the road

Third pairing:
Merkins/Hillbillies – 6 merkins/balance of minute doing hillbillies, then 12 merkins, then 18, then 24, then 30.

Mosey to courtyard

Fourth pairing:
Squats/plank – 6 squats/balance of minute doing plank, then 12 squats, then 18, then 24, then 30.

Mosey back to start

Fifth pairing:
Plank jacks/Jack Reachers – 6 plank jacks/balance of minute doing Jack Reachers, then 12 plank jacks, then 18, then 24, then 30.

Mary

Mutton crunches
Low flutter (maybe?)
Penguin crunches
Heels to Heaven

FIN.

Prayer Requests

Praise that Snookie’s brother Stewart contacted family/mom for the first time in a very long time.  Prayers that the connection lasts.

Praise that Prohl posted this weekend on his own and is doing well.  He’s working on securing a full-time position with the City, so prayers for that.

NMM

Burpees suck, but the merkin/hillbilly and especially the plank jack/Jack Reacher combos were especially awful.  #washinghairisbad

Wish YHC had gotten a picture of #SwissMiss’ spongy shirt #meditateonthat

Lots of traffic around Reynolda Village this morning, but I imagine our Hillbilly demonstration might put a stop to that in the future. #avoideyecontact

Evidently we were supposed to do dips in the courtyard.  Maybe next time.

Plunger was clearly on board, but hopefully the rest of the pax also enjoyed today’s playlist (sorta in order):
Whole Lotta Love – Led Zeppelin
Travelling Riverside Blues – Led Zeppelin
Break on Through – The Doors
Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting – Elton John
Voodoo Child – Jimi Hendrix
Fortunate Son – CCR
Let’s Go Crazy – Prince
Get Up – James Brown
Superstition – Stevie Wonder
Wait Until Tomorrow – Jimi Hendrix

YHC invites all pax to post at The Outhouse on Monday mornings, 0530, Leinbach Park (map for Snookie), gather in the parking lot by the tennis courts.  Come Q!  Step in as Site Q so YHC can abuse pax at other Monday AOs more regularly!

Thanks for the keys, Huckleberry.  Looking forward to you returning the favor at Outhouse.

SYITG,
Red Eye

Evidently, our arms needed a rest! Squats were more than sufficient in the courtyard.
Seriously, this was non-stop awfulness, sweat angels in full effect (even without squishy shirts)
Fun times with a bunch of beasts! Thanks for not ditching me.
And YHC laughed as well, no telling if anybody else did, but had to distract myself somehow.
Great plan, (got Cobra cussing) – moseying from damp grass to damp soccer field really got him! “Might as well run us in the f&$K$@# Lake!” He did calm down. #priceless
