The gloom came early for a few EC runners although not as many as expected.  Sour Mash, TSC, Palin and YHC got in a #Mashmile launching at 5:00.

The rest of the pax rolled in at the regular time.  YHC mentioned that any more pax would need to come in pairs since we had an even # and there would be partner work.  Jiminy arrived around the end of SSHs and as luck would have it, long lost Bolero pulled in around middle of Warmorama.  We had an even dozen but that would change.  Cliffhanger…

10 wide merkins at top crab walk down 10 diamond merkins then backpedal up

10 Russian twists bear crawl down 10 heels to heaven then backpedal up

10 squats duck walk down 10 monkey humpers stay at bottom of hill

To football field and partner up

• Partner push
• Partner pull
• Partner carry
• Saratoga
• 2 Rounds if time allows – time did not allow

Back to wall to pick up bricks and another round of

Good to see Bolero back out – YHC had seen him out and he HCed for Parliament but that was few weeks ago – better late than never back

MC was coming pretty strong on wheel o merkins – addition of planks were a #crowdpleaser.  Goofy in particular was desiring the partner work to begin earlier.  These comments would prove to be a fateful turn of Q karma.  After YHC demonstrated the Zig Zag bunny hop across the curbs and had to encourage the rest of the pax to follow, near the back of the line Goofy pulled his best Tony Finau impression and went down with the dreaded twisted ankle.  He insisted the rest of the pax continue on which we were going to anyway but we did think about him as we journeyed to the hill.  He was at the wall upon our arrival to retrieve our bricks and participated in Mary so he gets full credit for the workout. Seriously he seemed to shake it off pretty well and we hope it was nothing serious.  Injuries happen out there so all pax be careful and never be too proud to modify.

Lots of strong work on the hill – Palin and Drano were especially nimble

Partner carries went off without injury but there were a few stumbles

Some pax had never Saratoged before – always fun to bring the ropes – hate we didn’t get in another round
