The forecasts were well known that it was going to be a cold, rainy morning, so YHC had to use some serious, thankin’ strategery to get PAX to come out.  So I called out a couple regulars, one who is a huge Virginia fan, and plugged the workout as ACC Tournament themed.  What I’m trying to say was I lied my ass off and it worked! Our number equaled a Mighty 3!

Harden even went as far as to EH another poor sap, Sassy, and they did an #TeachersPet run BEFORE the workout.  So YHC had no problems sticking to the plan since the PAX were already soaked.

Circle up and Warmarma in the parking lot: SSH, IST, Hillbillies (for #Fingers who was absent), Merkins, Peter Parkers, Merkins, Squats, bounce up and down

Mosey by loan basketball goal and pretend to do a layup

Continue to shelter for a bit of strength work:

  • 1 Round of ATM (Found this on the F3Nation Exicon; it looked better on paper): 15 Alternating Shoulder Touches In Cadence (4-count), 10 Tempo Merkins (down on the 1-2-3, up on 4), 10 fast Merkins. (YHC fell to me knees on count 5 of fast Merkins).  #Flooded
  • Slow-count Irkins IC x 10
  • Slow-count Squats IC x 10
  • Slow-count Freddy Mercuries IC X 10

  • Acknowledged the great experience of Habitat for Humanity this past weekend with Palin as the Site Q. Hope to do again
  • Sassy is Q’ing #VillageIdiocy Monday, March 19th.  It’ll be his 1 year anniversary at F3 and 3 years to the day after his heart surgery.  Strong work!
  • UVA won the ACC Tournament.  That seemed significant

COT: YHC took us with words of thanks for being out together in wet weather, for being accountable to each other, and thankful for sharing experiences like Habitat for Humanity that can help a family to live a better life and invest in our community.

  • As cold and rainy as it was, YHC kinda wished everyone stayed home.
  • Hand Release merkins on spongy cold wet ground will get your attention in a different way than low dollys… #shrinkage

    Thanks for the call out, Spicoli! I even told Sassy Sunday night that YHC had been called out and therefore had no choice but to show! Kept waiting for the ACC theme to come through – you got me on that one. Strong workout though, thank goodness they closed work early for proper recovery.

    Still wondering what happened to the Demon Deacon, Sour Mash, who was also called out and liked the tweet.
