  • Pray for a friend of TSC going through a difficult situation
  • Pray for family of Bulldog’s college friend that passed away at 53 and for those supporting that family including Bulldog

YHC took us out.

NMM

  • YHC enjoyed counting us down every minute from 4 to 1.  YHC also stated the mission of F3 and disclaimed the crowd, even without FNGs.  Comments were made that Van Gogh was not present and we could, in fact, get on with the workout.
  • Lots of MC when the first exercise was jumpropes.  Lots of skills in the pax — especially when the ropes are invisible.  Offsides was doing doubles and several pax including Zima were going right to left like a boxer.
  • Some enjoyed the Parkour-type warm-up run and others tolerated it and complained about wimpy things like wet benches.
  • D-Day or another smart person suggested the Multiplier was more like the Additioner, when we went from 5 reps to 10.  From then on, we multiplied by 1.5, 1.3333 (D-Day was fine with 1 and 1/3rd), 1.25 and 1.20.  D-Day also pointed out the fraction over one was simple each time as the denominator went up by one each time, 1/2 to 1/3 to 1/4, etc.  While in the post workout shower, YHC was thinking over this and realized you could look a the multipliers as 2/1, then 3/2, then 4/3, 5/4 and so on.  Which is nice, elegant progression.
  • Running with hands on head and hands behind back is always harder than I think it’s gonna be.
  • Pax didn’t complain too much about lying on the wet grass as we were working up a nice sweat.  Pax got the 1 to 10 pattern pretty early.  No complaints that the merkin number was static at 5.
  • Strong work on the Iron Cross by all.
  • Lace left at end of Iron Cross for work.  Q excused said departure.
  • Q fail on planking instructions at beginning of the Steinl.  I said “elbow” when I meant regular plank and most of the Pax complied with verbal instructions even as I was in a straight arm plank.  I was thinking ahead to the next portion of the exercise and my mouth got ahead of my brain.  Oxygen issues.
  • The Amazing Spider Man is hard for me, mostly due to the one-legged nature of it. YHC counted fast.
  • The Pax finished the workout strong with about 4 minutes of no-rest mary with legs in the air.  Strong work.
  • The Multiplier, Captain Therkin, the Iron Cross, and the Steinl were all sets of exercises that YHC (with a few others from WS) ‘enjoyed’ at the Mega in Greensboro this past fall.  You are most welcome.
  • YHC thinks he is in decent shape but questions that every time YHC Qs, especially upon listening to the recording of the announcements and hearing myself breathe more heavily than a smoker in a marathon.

I am humbled by the way all you guys work hard, push each other, support each other during the workout, and how you guys really seem to care about one another in conversations in the parking lot and coffeeteria.  Honored to lead from time to time.

Peace,

Burlap

Nailed it on how one sounds on the recording of COT. Always amazed as how much panting and shortness of breath that comes out of YHCs mouth.
