Tire Flipping and Sled Pushing

QIC: Total Recall

Date: 11/04/2017

PAX: Gepetto, Van Gogh, Micky +Rocco, Boo Boo, Thistle, Miyagi, Lace, Ziggy Star Dust, Spicoli, Mutton, Litter Box

Twelve PAX showed up for a Total Recall Impossible Situation.  Nine participated in the planned activity but all circled up.  Here’s what they encountered…

Warm-O-Ramma

  • SSH x 20
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 IC
  • Abe Vigoda x 15 IC
  • Whirly’s Got the Clap x 15 IC
  • Copperhead Squat x 15 IC
  • Hand Release Merkin x 10 IC
  • Spicoli shows up
  • Mosey .8 miles to field hockey field across from Crossnore

Flipping Tires

PAX divided into two groups.  Two large tires were waiting at the end-line.  A PAX from each group called an exercise that the remaining group members would perform while the calling PAX bear crawled to the tire, flipped it three times and ran back.  When this PAX returned the next PAX would call an exercise, bear crawl to the tire, flip it three times and run back.  Repeato until tires made their way to the other end of the field.

“The job’s not done until the tools are put away.”

Now that the tires were at the other end of the field, the PAX needed to return them to their original spots.  Repeat the cadence above minus the bear crawl.

Once the tires were back in their place, PAX lunge walked to the end of the field followed by a crab walk to the sidewalk.

PAX moseyed to the R.J. Reynolds practice football field.

Sleds and Ladders

PAX lined up in front of the five man football sled.  On Q’s call five PAX would push the football sled for a five second burst.  Switcheroo and repeato x 5

Mosey to the soccer field.

PAX partnered up. PAX #1 executed 10 of called exercise while PAX #2 held static position.  Once complete, PAX #1 would initiate static hold while PAX #2 executed nine of called exercise.  Repeato until pair reached zero:

  • Merkin + Plank
  • Squat + Al Gore
  • Low Flutter + Six Inches
  • Burpee + Plank
  • Monkey Humpers + Al Gore

Mary

  • American Hammer x 20 IC

COT

YHC brought us out by thanking Him for this great group of men and asked Him to give us the strength to use our blessings to help those in need.  YHC asked that he give special guidance to those dealing with depression and those dealing with sorrow due to the loss of loved one’s especially children.

NMM

  • YHC highly recommends driving around the AOs in the daylight as that is how I discovered the tires!
  • For new Qs the best way to get involved is by having the PAX call the exercises.  This limits the work you actually need to do. Hint, hint…
  • YHC purposely executed the Warm-O-Ramma in the parking lot with the expectation that Spicoli might be joining us…I was right.
  • What YHC did not foresee is the loss of Boo Boo and Micky + Rocco.  They found us opportunely after the tire flipping…
  •  Gepetto brought the strength when tire flipping!  My group was ahead then Gepetto came along and we were tied!
  • Van Gogh teaches private tire flipping lessons.  Mutton was his first customer.
  • Every time I workout with Thistle he has gotten stronger!  Awesome job buddy!
  • Great to workout with Miyagi and Litter Box as I do not make it over to Hanes Park as much as I should!
  • When we veered to the football sled, Lace had to go to work…literally.
  • Ziggy Star Dust was proudly wearing his Wake gear.  It just didn’t work today!

Thanks for the opportunity to lead a great group of men!

Great job TC – fun time keeping us all together, well, we did lose a couple, but for those of us who stayed together – it was fun. Organized and original – good way to start off our Saturday.
