This Is Not A Running AO?
QIC: Doublewide
Date: 12/3/2025
PAX: Zima, Rubber Ducky, Drama Queen, Wahoo, Cruiser, Rollback, Zephyr
When Skid Mark brought me out for the first time in 2015, it was at Mayhem. Where is that guy anyway? I’ve been trying to EH him for the past couple years but no luck.
Anyway, it felt like I haven’t been out since 2015 and while that’s not quite true, I don’t visit this AO much. Rollback asked me to Q a few weeks ago and how could I say no?
The Thang:
We (it was a collective thing as I was a little rusty) recited the mission statement and the five core principles. On to the warm up: SSH, IW, & MP. Mosey to the rock pile and leave it at the shelter.
Mosey to the top of The Hill to Nowhere (which now goes somewhere?!?). 22 LBCs in cadence (22 because there are 22 days before Christmas, I know it was weak, apologies). Mosey back to the shelter.
There we had a round of 3 exercises, followed by a run to the top of The Hill That Now Goes Somewhere and 22 LBCs OYO. Repeato!
- R1: Chest press, curls, squat (butt to bench)
- R2: Skull crushers, BO row, step up
- R3: Overhead press, upright row, side lunges
- R4: Irkin/Durkin (runner’s choice), lying rock pullover, calf raises
- R5: Dips, bus drivers, Bulgarian split squats
Once my fingers froze, I called time we headed back to the parking lot for Mary where we did Mary stuff.
TIME!

Naked Man Moleskin
- I got to run with Zima for the first round. I feel like everyone knows him but me so it was great catching up. Then he dusted me and crushed the rest of the workout.
- This was my first time posting with Wahoo who, as I figured, is not a UVA fan but VaTech and loves the Franklin hire.
- Not my first time posting with Zephyr, but first time posting in a while with him. We’ve missed you at Redline/OGs!
- Rubber Ducky & DQ hung out together. I felt bad I had so much running involved but both took it like a champ (and despite the Duck’s hurt toe).
- Rollback said my beatdown was “pretty good”, which, translated, means “light” as he kept his 25lb weighted vest on the entire time and I still couldn’t catch him.
- Cruiser clocked it and we ran 2 miles today. Again, that was more than planned, so sorry!
Thanks for the keys, Rollback! I’ll bring them back in the spring once my hands have thawed.
