Double Dora

QIC: Slowpitch

Date: 09.22.2026

PAX: PAX: @Lamb Chop, @Drip, @Starfish, @Bootsie, @Zima, @Slowpitch

YHC was talking to Bootsie about different locations for Flatline this morning. Threw out Truist Stadium, the bridge over the highway, around the block, etc. I ended up picking a Double Dora at the bridge over the highway.

The thang:
The Double Dora consisted of:

  • 100 Merkins
  • 200 Lateral Lunges
  • 300 LBC

The run was running past the bridge to where the sidewalk opened up. 3 burpees on the way there, 3 burpees on the way back

  • 300 Squats
  • 200 American Hammers
  • 100 Hand Release Merkins

The run was running to the other side of the bridge, 3 burpees, run back.

nmm

  • Lamb Chop was complaining, I mean chatting, early this morning. His complaining, shoot I mean chatting, made YHC call an Omaha that was much needed. YHC called for lunge burpees across half the bridge but we Omaha’d and made the most of it. I also found out that Lamb Chop likes to get stuff for free, like a rug, by dumpster diving in his neighbors’ dumpster and getting a nice “new” rug that just needs a “little” cleaning. His M was happy……so he says.
  • Drip was my partner during the Double Dora today. I think I say this in every backblast, but Drip is just an awesome dude. He just gets it done, doesn’t complain, and like the kids say these days (I think, IDK) he has aura. Thanks for carrying the team (YHC) today Drip, stay awesome!
  • I made Starfish sweat today but don’t worry, he still crushed the beatdown. I thought maybe, just maybe, he was going to be tired from Zephyr’s beatdown at VI on Monday but that certainly wasn’t the case. I think Starfish got mad at YHC because he ran across the bridge and back then YHC called for 1 more run to the bridge and back. I felt the middle finger pointed at me as I turned for 1 more victory lap over the bridge.
  • I saw Zima’s truck rolling up and I thought “Oh great, he is here?”…Just kidding. Zima did Zima things and called for perfect form, talked smack about IPC, probably yelled at the Q multiple times and all the things Zima does. Zima, Bootsie, and YHC did get some times post beatdown to chat about some fun things like Ragnar, IPC, F3, etc. It was a good chat with these guys.
  • Bootsie handed me the keys this week and I wanted to make the most of it so I ran ideas by him yesterday. Whatever beatdown I chose, I knew Bootsie was going to make it look easy, and he did. He was partnered with Zima today and they had perfect form and Bootsie ran across the bridge like he was running from the police. This guy was cruising across the bridge.

Thank y’all for letting me lead today, Bootsie. I left the keys next to the weird pile of unknown substance at launch point…let us know what it is when you pick them up.
