Cruising For a Bruising

QIC: Dr. Toot

Date: 10 June 2023

PAX: Van Gogh, Zima, Cruiser, Subfloor, Ziffel(WB), Rubber Ducky, Dr. Toot(WD,Q)

So, Cruiser put together such a perfectly simple, awful beatdown that I literally copied it. The PAX were in awe of the horribulus of the day and gave me sooo much blame, but, truly, 100% Cruiser. I literally copied and pasted his backlist here.

Warmorama: SSHs, HillBillies, ISTs, Whirleys, 2 Abe Vigodas, and stretchy stretches. Went to the coupons, one per PAX, and a walk to the L parking lot for….

The Thang: each person completes all the following. Every 2 minutes run to the end of the parking lot and back.

40 Burpees

80 Mike Tysons

120 WWIIs

160 Curls

200 Squats

240 SSH

There was no time left for Mary

Strong work by everyone. This one was brutal with no breaks the entire time.

Announcements: Early stages of convergence planning for Independence Day.

COT: Rubber Ducky’s neighbor had serious stroke while wife is pregnant and another very young child at home. Cruiser’s neighbor with turmoil surrounding child, grandchild and significant substance abuse issues. Praises for healing of Zima’s knee, Palin’s knee, and Greenspan’s noggin.

MNM: Although it was stressed NOT to share my playlist, I will say it was heinous and I will never repeat this horribulus on another gathering. Love songs of the 60s and 70s, including the Carpenters, Neil Sedaka, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, Bobby Darin, Bobby Vee, Anne Murray. I only wish @Spamalot and @Starfish could have been there to appreciate the depth and breadth of how bad a playlist can get. Van Gogh and Rubber Ducky paired off and kept things light and sociable. Zima biked miles to get to the AO and gave the beatdown the Zima-style what for. Subfloor got the job done and remained his usual subversive self. Cruiser knew all too well what was coming but led the way throughout.
