Rocks, Blocks and Parking Lots

QIC: 9/4/2021

Date: Van Gogh

PAX: @Cauliflower (stayed to finish his SuperMax reps), @Zima,  @Bullwinkle, @Crash,  @Ziffle, @ziggy stardust, @Subfloor, #codered, @Hooker (Grant Gentry) (WB), @dr. toot (WD), @van.gogh (QIC)

YHC had intended for this beatdown to be a belated Sexual Chocolate beatdown, which was missed due to the Shmed last week… but after much thought, it just didn’t feel right not doing it on release day and not going to Footnote afterward. Please note that the manager at Footnote asked where we were on Saturday when YHC went in after the Shmed! So some ideas that YHC has had rumbling around were put in place, along with some extra burpees since the PAX were so intent on talking about Honey Badger’s Q likely being more difficult.

CoT

  • Prayers for Mt. Tabor.
  • Patience for Code Red while dealing with car insurance…
  • Prayers for a solution to Bullwinkle’s foot pain…
  • YHC Took us out lifting up mentioned prayer requests

NMM

  • Very cool to meet Cauliflower at SuperMax. He even stayed to knock out his last set, and hung out with Kyler and Kerrick for a bit. Hope to see him again real soon
  • Every time Honey Badger’s Q was mentioned we did burpees.
  • Hooker rolled in on his bike – and rolled out after the beatdown as well. #TClaps
  • Code Red rolled in a minute late, he likes his sleep… but that’s still better than The Jerk, who didn’t show.
  • Sometimes it’s hard to choose between Rocks and Blocks, so YHC wanted to use both!
  • Dr. Toot expressed his disappointment in YHC during the rock crawl portion.
  • Code Red found an XXL Rock and made it look easy…he also showed some uneasiness about the lines on the asphalt. YHC is confident the lines will wash away after the next rain. Code Red remains sceptical.
  • Bullwinkle was sure to remind YHC that I said reps of 10 and then proceeded to call for 20 reps on the bench portion… 10 each arm, right? #Qfail
  • The nut punch came early today, as YHC was unsure if we’d get around to it after our Leg Block – good thing, because that Leg Block took us right up to the wire!
  • None of the PAX enjoyed Burpees in the wet grass, least of all YHC. We are spoiled by the lovely parking lots at ROCC.
  • Parking lot work was met with much groaning as line after line repeated.
  • Bullwinkle wisely modified to no run, but more squats to avoid foot pain; he also managed to entertain Kyler and Kerrick as they were getting stir crazy toward the end.
  • Ziggy and Subfloor were racing on the edge of the lot, I suspect interesting MC took place between these two wise men.
  • Ziffle finally began to slow toward the end and admitted that he was getting tired. But I think he was saying he was getting tired of the same thing and was bored. Glad to see him out again, and out at other AOs as well. Dude is a beast!
  • Crash doubled down again and I swear you could hear him laughing at the insanity of attending the Fender beatdown and this one consecutively. He has upped his game big time this year, and the Dash PAX are better for it!
  • The PAX finished the last set, returned the blocks, and made it back to launch in under 5 minutes, with just enough time for one last set of burpees before CoT

Enjoyed it men, thanks so much for travelling to WeFoCo and supporting this AO!
