A chilly morning for 9 hardy pax + 1 uncreative Q at Redline.  Here’s the extremely uncreative, but sufficient, activities we undertook.

Warmarama:

Clockwise lap around Hanes Park with pax regrouping at bottom of the Intimidator.

The Thang:

• Run up Intimidator to Carolina
• Run down Intimidator to the track and run a 400
• Run up Intimidator to Jersey
• Run down Intimidator to the track and run an 800

Repeato until time

Announcements:

• 12/26 Purgatory will feature a going away party for Plunger with food and coffee. Make plans to be there and celebrate the HIM who has contributed to F3 growth & fellowship in multiple regions and to the general quality of life of so many in Winston-Salem.

CoT:

• Prayers for $5 Footlong’s scan tomorrow (Wednesday).
• Healing for Zima’s knee.
• Spam’s father and their family

YHC took us out.

NMM:

• The workout is dubbed #TheValdez because it is his go to routine at Redline. In discussing it with Winklevoss, Balco, and Plunger, however, YHC came to learn that it was first introduced by The Pony Express, stolen by Winklevoss, and then made famous by Valdez.  So, The Pony Express is The Who, Winklevoss is Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Valdez is Coldplay, and YHC is the unknown thief playing covers in the local bar.
• There was some confusion at the beginning (for some) as to who the Q was; Suede was convinced it was his turn. After paper, rock, scissors, YHC retained today’s honors; Suede is locked in for 12/22.  You should come.
• Palin doesn’t like walking when it’s cooler than 30 degrees. Not sure who told him it was okay to walk.
• The pax stayed remarkably close, but not too close, this morning. The H.O.G., Chomper, Bevo, and Palin were the fastholes this morning.  Good to see Bevo’s back holding up well.  He also stated that he was there to continue learning what an appropriate Redline workout looked like.
• Everyone got through 2.75 cycles, with a few completing three. With the lap around the park, I had a total of 5.1 miles and 450 feet of elevation gain, which seems “adequate”, to plagiarize Palin.
• If you are reading this and you haven’t posted to Redline ever or in a long time, you should come and then you should talk to Resistor about Qing. You don’t have to be a #fasthole; just enjoy moving your legs some.  You can try to be creative (looking at you Bevo 00), or you can plagiarize the workout.  Every time I post to Redline, my energy and demeanor are better for the rest of the day.  Correlation = causation.

Thanks for the keys Resistor.  The keys got dropped at Jersey the last time up as I was bent over for air.  I also dropped the royalties owed to Pony, Winklevoss, and Valdez, but beneficiaries have to come to #Redline to collect; only Wink went home with his portion today.
