“If you build it, they will come” – Field of Dreams

I was reminded of this movie around 5:20am when out of no where came about 15 PAX from various routes, modes of transportation, and I’m pretty sure Wink just appeared from the woods like in the movie. If you didn’t see the tweets, the Site Q (Cowboy) was finally worn down by Poncho’s politely persistent request of a temporary AO site change to GBF from the Food Lion Parking lot. He finally obliged and off we went…

NMM:

– Q arrived early to set up. Not early enough. Cobra was mid-way through an intense jump rope techno music sufferfest that left me cringing at the last time he Q’d

– Cowboy and IF were seen on an EC run

– Tigger wagoned his bells down ready to play on the playground

– toe tag and road apple did their usual 80 mile run at 2am because sleep is for the dead

– Literally, Wink showed up out of no where

– I believe about 1/2 the PAX didn’t take a car. Al Gore can thank me later.

– We had a visiting PAX from F3 Harrisonburg- Ivey League. His son, Grayson (19), was injured during a F3 workout and came to Baptist for treatment (Toe Tag).

– Water Irragation was a nice cool off during a muggy morning (well planned Q trick)

– Despite the closeness to most PAX homes, many had to get the heck home because GBF M’s were coming at 6:30 for their boot camp and needed to transition adult supervision on the home front.

COT

– Prayers were squarely focused on Ivey League and his son Grayson for a speedy recovery. Toe tag will keep up with IL and post the PAX on progress
