The air being a little less humid than previous week, eight pax were congregating at Hanes Park at 0655 when two EC runners came trotting home.  Joined in the early stages of warmarama by a dynamic brotherly duo, one of which was an FNG, made us a perfect dozen for a ho hum Impossible Situation.

  • Praise: Truck Stop’s and FNG Wedding Crasher’s sister gave birth to a daughter last night in Durham.
  • Praise: $5’s M has a new job at Baptist.  This is an answer to long-time prayer.
  • $5’s M is also in Tennessee currently. Prayers for a safe return.
  • Covid-19 wiped out Wedding Crasher’s sales, but he is expecting responses from two potentially large accounts soon.
  • Praise: Root Canal expressed thanks for being healthy and being able to be out with us after a period of injury.

YHC took us out with prayers for the items above and then read Psalm 130, one of the songs that the Israelites would sing when they journeyed to Jerusalem for the annual festivals.

Moleskin:

  • Mordecai Scott, brother of Truck Stop, was born at Presbyterian Hospital and grew up in Charlotte but currently lives in Washington, DC. He does commercial real estate.  He’s the life of the party, but an introvert (?!).  He played football and ran track at Davidson.  He has lived in China and Spain.  He likes crab cakes.  Names suggested included Mater, John Knox, Big Rig.  The winner, due to the Chesapeake Bay connection, was Wedding Crasher.  Truck Stop commented, “Y’all don’t know how appropriate that name is.”
  • YHC led off warmarama attempting to recite the mission and the 5 core principles. $5 quickly alerted YHC that the core principles were not being recited in order.  YHC then politely asked $5 to recite them in the proper order..while doing SSHs.  We did SSHs until $5 was finished.
  • Palin said something about something soon after $5 finished his recitation which YHC reflexively responded with, “10 burpees, OYO.” Palin then said something else about something else which YHC responded with, “5 burpees, OYO.”  We didn’t leave the launch until between 0710 and 0715.  Definitely a record warmrama for YHC.
  • All worked and fellowshipped hard. Thank you all the your camradarie.

Drip the keys are on the windowsill at Reynolds Auditorium where we slapped the wall.  Thanks for the opportunity to lead.
