Announcements:

  • The H.O.G. has Q at Redline tomorrow (only track work!); YHC has Flatline tomorrow; Van Gogh has UA on Friday; YHC has OGs/Tractors on Fridays Q.
  • There were subsequent beatdowns at the Outhouse and the Speakeasy (Zima’s house) this morning; look for a repeat of this on future Memorial Days.

CoT:

YHC took us out giving thanks to the Sky Q that He has placed us in this country and for the men and women who have lived and died to protect this country.  Also for consciousness that the freedom we have as Americans is only a weak foretaste of the freedom and glory that is offered to us.

Moleskin:

  • Knowing what was coming with the CSAUP, YHC kept it tame this morning. We still managed to get in 2 miles in our moseying.
  • Up/downs will be forthwith known as Captain Morgans; but you have to wave your hands on the ups.
  • The air was heavy, but there were moments of refreshing mist from the sky. We waited all morning for the deluge that never came.
  • Great to see Catfish putting in the work and getting out consistently. He passes Van Gogh’s form evaluation.
  • Bevo had home projects the rest of the day but got up to be with us at 0530. That’s impressive.
  • Turnover is still nursing a tender calf; you couldn’t tell.
  • The H.O.G. seemed impressed at YHC’s geographic knowledge of the Estate’s AO: “We don’t normally come up here [Reynolda House trail].”
  • Van Gogh, also recovering from injury, dominated. It was all warmarama for him.

Great start to a memorable day.  Thanks for the keys H.O.G.  I left them in the ice chest at the Outhouse with Palin’s.
