Spring Fling @OG & Tractors

QIC: Lysol

Date: 05/12/2019

PAX: Burlap (WD), The Vig, Balco, LawnBoy, Red Eye, Mongoose, Winklevoss, Wiki, Sacagawea (WB), JuiceBox, SVP, Valdez, Thor, Walter White, Lysol

OGs and Tractors saw 15 PAX make it out for a Spring Fling run through Buena Vista.  YHC’s run mapping app is apparently different in that it doesn’t calculate elevation change…so, totally unaware of the pending ups/downs on the route, YHC posted his ~6.2mi fling. After mi. 2, YHC decided to subscribe to a new app…never-the-less, the Thang went something like this:

The route:

R. Sunset, R. Glade, R. Hawthorne, L. Runnymede,  R. Warwick, L. Reynolds, R. Pine Valley, R. Club Park, R. Forest, L. Westover, R. Greenbrier, R. Carolina Cir., L. Virginia, R. Hawthorne, L. NW blvd., R. Reynolda, R. West End, R Forsyth, R. Sunset, Home!

COT: YHC took PAX out with words of thanks for a delightful morning!

Prayers: Unspoken and safety for those traveling over Spg. Break.

Annc:

  • April 27th Carter High School Color Run…See #JucieBox for details. Great cause, show up and support!
  • SVP has Q for OGs and Tractors next Fri!

MC:

  • So…more hills than YHC expected in the first 3.5mi, and then West End past the Y sucked too…#dontQitifyoucantrunit
  • Lighter than normal OG turnout, seems that a # of PAX had started Spg. Break 2019 a little early!
  • Great to run w/ Lawnboy for the 1st 2.5 miles…truth be told he was caught at the intersection of NW Blvd. which provide opportunity for YHC to catchup.
  • SVP and Sac ran like bats out of hell! Keep in mind that SVP could be Sac’s Dad…#notbadfortheolman
  • YHC had chance to run with Valdez and Balco too! Valdez was beaming while talking about his wife and her accomplishments at work…#YoungLove #ProudSpouse
  • Thanks to The Vig for letting YHC take the OG / Tractor for ride!

YHC would like to say something mice about the Q and his route, but YHC can’t lie. The run by the finish line at about 5.6 miles with heading up hill on West End Blvd was not nice. Many thanks to Wiki who stuck with me even when I had to walk briefly to keep from pulling a Whirly. Beautiful morning.

Great but challenging route Lysol. I was happy to make it for my farthest run since shoulder surgery five months ago. Thanks JuiceBox for the push on the last couple of miles.
