#WIB: The Multiplier, brought to you by the number 3

QIC: Burlap

Date: 07 Feb 2019

PAX: Litterbox (WB), Cherry Pie, Zima, Offsides, Little Piggy, Honey Badger, Greenspan, Palin, Root Canal, Thistle (WD), Mutton, Lysol, Toto, Burlap

A pax of 14 eventually gathered at the right spot — at Thruway Shopping Center between McDonald’s and Talbots, not between SteinMart and Talbots — and complained that there were four stations and not three.

The THANG:

Counterclockwise circuit with running to eastern end of shopping center to perform diamond merkins, around the back of the shopping center to parking lot beside Talbot’s for WWII sit-ups, over to steps or wall in front of The Loop for Mike Tysons, around the front of Bonefish Grill and to planter in front of Kilwyn’s Ice Cream for dips.  Start with only 3 reps for the first circuit (1 x 3), then repeat with 6 reps on the second trip (2 x 3), then 9 reps on the third circuit (3 x 3), and so on until 0610 and return to start for brief Mary.

COT

  • Thistle may have successfully passed the WIB site Q role to Cherry Pie — we shall see if it takes.
  • When Cherry Pie ‘volunteered’ to step up for WIB leadership, Lysol was inspired to step up and fill the need for a subtiQ for Impossible Situation this Saturday.  Rumors that IS is a 20 minute workout that starts at 9 am have been squashed.  And no Coffeeteria at Lululemon.
  • Celebration of the life of Palin’s Mom tomorrow, Friday, Feb 8 at 3 pm at Christ United Methodist Church at 410 N. Holden Road, Greensboro.  Continue to keep Palin and his family in your prayers.  Link to obituary is on-line in a Palin tweet.
  • Traveling mercies for Thistle and M traveling to Birmingham to see kids and grandkids.
  • Boo Boo’s BIL, Keith Vest, having another treatment.
  • YHC took us out.

NMM

  • Some quotes that may be accurate include:  “Cherry Pie, you need to act your age,” per Zima.
  • “I know Litterbox’s back better than he does,” from Offsides.
  • “It didn’t get any less ‘runny’ as it went along — the running still sucked,” from Litterbox.
  • “Litterbox and Cherry Pie get a grade of ‘Needs Improvement’ in the category of ‘Follows directions well’,” per YHC after they didn’t return at 0610 but opted to finish their 8th circuit and show up late to COT.
  • YHC started in front for about 100 meters and ended last.  That way, I got to see everyone!
  • Some Pax took advantage of the five towels that YHC provided on the sidewalk by Talbots for the WWII sit-ups.  The samples of sweat and other DNA left behind are now in my lab.
  • The circuit was about 0.6 miles, and all Pax finished at least six circuits for 3.7 miles minimum.  Six complete circuits means 63 of each of the four exercises.  Seven complete means 84.  Litterbox and CP broke the time limit and did 108 of each and got in nearly 5 miles.
  •  This was a pretty strong and fit group of guys this morning.  There were 6 respects in the bunch that were keeping up pretty well with the 30-somethings.
  • WIB can be a tough workout structure if you try to keep up with a faster dude.  I recommend it.

Thanks for the privilege of constructing this workout and of leading (from the rear).
