A little humid but a near perfect morning at the Iron Throne at Sherwood to work up a sweat with friends, and even make new friends!  Turned on my bag o’ music with the sounds of the Allman Brothers.  Lambchop arrived early since he had to leave early. 🤷‍♂️😊  Followed soon by the rest of the TIT gang today. YHC is resting a sore hip and did NOT RIRO, but our FNG DID!!  Ryan, now HokeyPokey, is on his way to being a total badass. He put in the work even though there was a little Merlot spilled. Sorry. Many merkins and a little jogging in a Dora is a tough combo. But I’m getting ahead of myself. We started with the usual WOR stuff, then headed to the basketball court for Merkin Madness:  start on the end line with 10 merkins, bear crawl to midcourt, 9 merkins, bear crawl back, 8 merkins, etc down to 1. Total 55 merkins but an exhaustive amount of bear crawl. Then Lunge Lunacy:  same plan but with jump squats and lunge walks, 10 and down to one.
Next to the playground for Dora 1 2 3 and 4:  partner up for 50 pull-ups, 100 WWII’s, 200 squats, 300 merkins. Jog around perimeter of playspace when not adding to totals. By the end, YHC was strolling instead of jogging and trying to catch my breath between sets of merkins, and a few kind souls joined the old man so I wouldn’t feel bad. Sweet guys!  😄 And then it was almost time.  Back to start for about 30 seconds of lo-flutter and Done!

Headhunter and Ryan (now HokeyPokey) were on a mission trip to Africa recently. Ryan responded to the EH and we’re glad. He’s on his way to being even more of a beast and will be a good friend to all. Great guy and a good addition to the Cult. 😄

Tammy and Lambchop crushed the beatdown as usual and chatted about kids and their milestones.
Superfly and Boomerang illustrated the Old Guys Rule idiom. Boomerang did Upright Bear during Merkin Madness for a BUNCH of lunge walking.
It’s seems impossible to really challenge HeadHunter. I did try. What a beast. My Dora partner left during merkins so he even helped finish the 300. But Lambchop did his share before he skidaddled. Strong partner work in our “pair of 3” with Ryan.
