The Changing of the Q, or the passing of the torch

THE THANG:
Given the temps and humidity, YHC thought it would be fun to play some uno (not my own idea, inspired by Burlap) where we stay in the shade. I think the reaction was mixed with some mumble chatter, but we soldiered on.
UNO Cards
Red – Jump Squats then curtsy lunges
Blue – derkins then double wide merkins
Green – WWIIs then American hammers
yellow – Dips then mountain climbers
Draw 2 – 2 burpees added to color
skip – color exercise and then mozey or skip to bathroom building for wall sit (any PAX counts)
reverse – color exercise then up the hill and back
wild – PAX chooses exercise and Q chooses how many
wild draw 4 – PAX chooses Exercise to do 4 of.
back to the parking lot for 4ish minutes of Mary:
PAX choice – I don’t fully remember all of them (the heat was setting in), but we did some baby crunches, mutton crunches, little leg flutters, and a plank.
YHC did not set a number for the non-number cards, that was my bad, and there was some skepticism on the legitimacy/shuffling of the deck, but mostly fun was had by all with lots of back and forth about the correct number of reps for non numbered cards. Spicoli joined in the last 10 mins (but he got back from an long drive, and still made the effort to here, which was appreciated).
The music came from a Dad’s playlist on Amazon, which excited the graybeards, and also infuriated them with the lack of musical know how from the younger among us. (not naming names… “Rudolph”)
The post workout included a passing of the torch for the site Q from Frostbite to YHC, and a ceremonial gift of 6 Torch Pilsners from the Foothills. In addition Frost Bite provided all who wanted post workout beers, which were widely discussed to be in the top 5 beers during/post activities, shower beers and garage beers, also making the list.
