PAX: Crash (WD), Schneider, Seaman, Van Gogh, Grayson Allen (WB), 60 Minutes, Silver Fox (former FNG), Fender

The following excerpt from Rudyard Kipling’s amazing poem “If” was the utterance that distilled our fine Pax to their most fundamental elements this morning.

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;

If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

Warm – o – rama:

  • SSH x 50 ic

The beatdown:

  • Pax each took turns reciting the poem from memory.  If they were successful, they chose the exercise; if not, 20 burpees for everyone.
  • The final burpee count was a debatable 150.  It might have been 170 or 190 for some.
  • For the successful recitations we bear crawled with merkins for every parking space in the lot, some box cutters, lbcs, a run around the ao, some interesting protractor work, and more merkins,

No time for a formal Mary.

CoT:

  • Welcome to former FNG Silver Fox.  He leads young men in an organization called Trail Life.  Pax with boys should check it out if your into things like fishing, God and integrity.  Strong work today Silver Fox!
  • Superstar poetry memorizer, Crash! has his VQ at Alcatraz on Saturday.  Walk worthy and be there!
  • YHC took us out

NMM:

  • Schneider likes burpees better than memorization
  • Van Gogh highlighted that the fault of workouts like this occuring start at the site Q level for scheduling certain “individuals.”  Love the differed responsibility.  Sorry it’s all your fault 60;  I won’t hold anything against you.
  • Some questioned the Q’s “less poetic” rendering of the core principles and mission statement.  I’ll work on it.  Thanks for the nudge.
  • Silver Fox rocked it today for his first time out.  This pax had a smile through every brutal moment and didn’t skip a beat.  We’re all better because you were there.  Keep coming!
  • Was nice to meet Grayson Allen.  He and 60 were strategizing together on their poetry memorization process.  This actually created more confusion and burpees for all Pax.  Maybe the secret strategy was to do more burpees.
  • Sea Man did really well with the poem.  Sadly he would mix one or two words every time resulting in burpees.  Solid attempt though.
  • Crash on the other hand is a virtuoso poem memorizer!  He volunteered to be first in line to recite and totally crushed it every time!  Either he knew this coming in, has mind reading powers, is a secret mad genius, or was scarred so badly from the Trees beatdown a while back from Mayhem, or maybe some other 5th thing I can’t think of.  Whatever it was, I want it and bravo!
  • Thanks for the opportunity to lead the fine men 60 minutes!  I hope a lesson was learned!
