Bricks & Klicks Across the Distillery

QIC: Gucci

Date: July 11, 2019

PAX: Fender, Schneider, Drama Queen

Four dedicated souls gathered on the misty fields of the Distillery AO this morning, to enjoy some fellowship and a protracted tour of the area around Clemmons First Baptist and Clemmons Elementary.  The Q was cutting his arrival time dangerously close, and executed some synchronized parking with Fender, as Schneider and Drama Queen looked on anxiously.  The crew jumped immediately into a #Gucciwarmup:

The Thang:

The crew then moseyed over to the far side of Clemmons Elementary, to the parking lot where buses drop students in the mornings.  They picked two light poles, and after a short 10 count went into 11s with ‘Mericans and Squats….Fender was the #fasthole of the group and did side straddle hops as he waited for the rest of us.

The crew then moseyed a bit more to the home goal post of the football field, lunged to the 50ish yard line, executed 10 single-count plank jacks, and then executed step overs (still can’t remember what they are called) to the opposite goal post, where 5 burpees were done….begrudgingly.

The crew then moseyed to the field house, to grab 2 bricks each, for a broken up trip back with the following exercises:

  • @ the Field House – 20x overhead press
  • Mosey to the service gate by the trailers
  • 20x bent over rows
  • Mosey to the side entrance to Clemmons First Baptist
  • 20x skull crushers
  • Mosey to the corner of the parking lot
  • 20x Curles for the girls
  • Mosey to the opposite side of the parking lot
  • 20x bench presses
  • Mosey to Schneider’s truck, for another successful brick re-homing from the old Distillery site

Mary (all in cadence)

  • Low Dolly – 15 count
  • Penguin Crunch – 15 count
  • Flutter Kicks – 15 count
  • Gas Pumps – 15 count
  • Upward Dog – 10 seconds
  • Downward Dog – 10 seconds
  • Right Arm Stretch – 10 seconds
  • Left Arm Stretch – 10 seconds

The Q may, or may not have run over his time limit by a minute or two to get the last stretches in, but he hopes it helped alleviate any pain later in the day, and made it worth it.  He and Schneider were still recovering from a wholly unofficial and unorganized Hells Bells the day before.
