I don’t know, out run Buford or beat Darth Vader? YHC didn’t think it through.
QIC: Wobegon
Date: 7-7-2025
PAX: Burns, Rubber Ducky, Brittni, Wobegon
There was a theme, I swear. July 7th….7/7…1977…the year Star Wars and Smokey and the Bandit came into our cultural lives…but leaving the speaker at home killed whatever tentative connection there was to the theme…so we were deprived of ‘East Bound and Down’ and ‘Cantina Band Theme’, but whatever. These guys did not seem slowed. It went like this:
Warm-O-Rama:
-
SSH
-
Imperial Walkers
-
Whirly with the clap
-
Squats
-
Hamstring Stretch
-
Then off to the pickleball court…
The Thang:
Leg Day to Start:
-
50 squats
-
Lunge walk to the end
-
50 more squats
Benches:
-
Right leg step-ups – 25 each leg
-
“Squatty Potty” into alternating lunges – 25 reps
Rock Work (2 Rounds):
-
10/15 reps each:
-
Curls
-
Swings
-
Overhead Press
-
Bent Rows
-
Skull Crushers
-
Rockin’ Dora:
-
Partner up, one runs while the other rocks:
-
100 Curls
-
200 Heavy Freddies
-
Finish with Extended Mary
-
Naked-Man Moleskin (NMM):
-
Rubber Ducky kept the chatter high—we’d expect nothing less and accept nothing less. Always a strong effort.
-
Burns probably ran 6 miles and wrangled two kids yesterday while the rest of us were horizontal. Still smoked the workout.
-
Brittni is a top-tier addition to the PAX—quietly crushing it and coming back for more. Turns out he’s also leading painting classes at the Rural Hall library this week, so he’s got some unexpected Bob Ross vibes. Kinda want to go, not going to lie.
- I would say I would go watch one or both of these iconic films tonight, but honestly, both have been viewed in House Wobegon recently, because of course they have been.
Announcements:
-
Running options and back to regular schedules this week.
-
YHC has the Q Friday for Urban Assault.
Thanks for the invite and the strong morning, men.
Burns—somehow the keys ended up in that guy’s tennis ball launcher. May the Force be with you, and come on back.

Brittani is a true #HIM. Didn’t strike me as a painter… makes me wonder what else he is hiding from us! Strong work this AM!
