Aww, man! Not again…

After a night of tricks, treats, frosty beverages, and game 6 of the World Series, I somehow pulled myself out of the comfy confines of a warm, cozy bed to attend my beloved workout, #Bells&Whistles. I fought the good fight, though – “I was up late last night”; “I dressed up like Fred Flinstone last night and have to face the world now. Can I do it??”; “Man, I didn’t think I had that much to drink…”; “Is it raining?!? If it’s raining, I’m not going. Sh*t, it’s not raining”; “Maybe the garage door opener will be broken and I won’t be able to open the door manually because a snowstorm blew through and dumped three feet of snow with 12 foot drifts, which are up against the garage doors”; “Man, I bet the zombie apocalypse has happened. I can’t go out there with zombies. I’ll get killed and become a zombie”.

Truth be told, it was @Goofy’s voice in my head saying, “The Guy Next To You” that finally got me going.  So in @Zuck fashion, I sped into the parking lot with seconds to spare only to find some other dudes staring blankly at me as if they had lost their dog. But I had my dog, so all seemed well. Ah, but the real problem was…another Q no-show. After mumbling (okay, loudly expressing) all of the four-letter expletives, and combinations thereof, I could muster, we pressed on.

There was a warmorama led by @SingingCowboy, who by the way is now a #Respect. I don’t remember the exercises because I was talking to @BAM. We ran a lap around the bus loop and then commenced the THANG with some real Tabata consisting of merkins, squats, raggedy annes, overhead presses, curls, alternating outside knee touches, step-ups, dips, dead lifts. And then we did some LBCs. There were other laps around the loop, too. There were prayer requests for in-laws, friends, and those affected by the tragedy in New York yesterday.

My M’s birthday is today and I got her a vacuum cleaner. Nope, I’m not kidding. And because of this, I learned how @Boomerang got to be named @Boomerang. I was also reminded that attending #coffeeteria is how one can learn such interesting stories.

@Zuck was getting in touch with his inner Bob Ross and feeling something with the tree landscape this morning.

I think Halloween should always be on a Friday. This middle of the week crap doesn’t work for me.

@ToeTag celebrated his two year anniversary with F3WinstonSalem today.

Now for the no-show Q thing…. laying blame will get us nowhere. At least not in a productive manner, anyway. So moving forward, this will not happen again. We all need to hold each other accountable, and expect to be held accountable.

Aye

I made the same comments this morning when the alarm went off…”if it’s below 45 and/or raining, I’m rolling over…..” It was 46 and dry! Looking forward to bringing the heat next week!

We had fun, laughed, worked pretty hard and were all thankful to be there. We’re all leaders and can be ready to step up even when we don’t feel like it. Thankful for y’all!

    Good times together.

Sometimes our collective mistakes bring out the best in our collective selves, and so it appears to be the case this morning. T-claps to the group.

And don’t make me write a treatise on why 30-something degrees is NOT cold and weather is no excuse for fartsacking. I’ll do it, I swear! Don’t make me do it!
