Redline occurred on 02.10 and YHC had the lovely privilege of pissing everyone off.

It all started when YHC was caught scoping out some of the hills at around 0525. @Greenspan had pulled in early and saw me drive by the #AO. YHC had to quickly pivot plans to throw @Greeny off my scent.

Once YHC circled back @TaxBreak hopped out of the car like a gazelle ready to redeem himself after his performance at one of my #WIBs a few weeks ago.

@Woodpecker showed up with a missing headlight (I feel you) and potentially a spare tire on his trusty Camry. That led to @Greeny informing the new guy, @Tax Break, about some guy’s last visit to Sauratown Mountain where @Woody quite literally came in on 3 wheels. Good times.

The Teacher Pets trinkled in from their RI acting all big and tough. @Mongoose seemed dressed appropriately even though he is currently evading taxes in his new home of Florida.

@WoolyBugger was the last man to show up but hopped out and was ready to roll.

Since this is an F3 workout, YHC recited the 5 Core Principals and Mission Statement. The looks of bewilderment by the regulars was amusing.

Let’s get it going:

Warmup lap – SIKE – let’s turn left on Glade. Here is where the groaning and bitching began. Yes, 1 minute in. YHC is nice and Omaha’d to turning left on West End Blvd instead of going all the way up on Glade. We moseyed onto Clover aka #TheIntimidator

“I am not warm yet” – @Balco

“You call that a warmup?” – @Winklevoss

“Don’t make me get @Starfish involved” – @Mongoose

“@Starfish would never come to a #Redline” – YHC

Once at #TheIntimidator, YHC instructed the #PAX to mosey all the way up. Yes, that means all the way up to Bernardins.

We would be completing a “Chomper Special” (according to @Wink). This means sprinting between the stoplights and stopping for recovery once reached.

We went all the way down 4th St. Yes, @Mongoose, that means all the way down to Bailey Park.

Turn left on Patterson. Turn left on 5th. Many thought we would Rinse and Repeat our way back to HP. Nope, not today.

We went into the notorious parking deck that is frequented by the #UrbanAssaulters.

Here we would mosey up to the top. Yes the top, except for the super icy top top. After reaching one level via mosey, YHC instructed the PAX to turn around and backwards mosey up the next level. They were alternate all the way to the top.

Mosey all the way down.

Then we did a few more repeats of that – some were mosey only, some sprints, some only backwards pedals. If your name is @Winklevoss or @Mongoose, you did whatever the hell you wanted which meant bitch and complain and stick to standard moseying.

Finally, with about 10 minutes left, we began our journey home via 5th street. Sprint between stoplights, recover once reached one.

Many #PAX got home with a minute or two to spare, and to avoid not getting their money’s worth, YHC instructed guys to mosey onto the stop sign at the corner of Sunset and Glade. Once again, some took this as optional.

TIME!

@Mongoose complained the whole time and YHC had the honor of filling in @TaxBreak on the legend.

Yes, @Mongoose, I know this is not a #Flatline.

YHC tried to call merkins while in the parking deck but the joke did not land as I thought it would.

@Taxbreak redeemed himself and was out front all morning making this look like a warmup.

@Greenspan had no idea when to sprint vs mosey coming down 4th and up 5th. Instructions are hard.

Knowing @Hitman, he loved the backwards moseying.

The ever so nice @Woodpecker kept the peace.

After some more complaints from @Balco and @Greenspan, YHC retorted that these 2 had the 2 prior Qs at #Redline where they could have done what they wanted to do… but they cancelled due to weather #3rdCP

@WoolyBugger appreciated the twist on a typical #Redline. That dude is a #Beast.

4.39 miles covered. Some elevation changes and HR went Up – not sure what all the complaining was about!
