Nothing rhymes with Iron Throne like Iron PAX. YHC dug through the archive to get a well rounded suck for the PAX awaiting at Sherwood Forest Elementary and came across 2019 week 3 – Meter’s 43. Perfect. It’s one of the workouts from the early days since (as Zima was surprised to see) it included pullups, which are typically not included. Added a couple things and felt like the beatdown was sufficient. @Lamb Chop was delighted to hear about the source.

Ice was everywhere this morning. YHC’s vehicle shimmered in the moonlight buried in frost. The entirety of the school grounds were a blanket of ice. The blocks themselves were frozen to the pavement and had to be pried free. Then, as an added insult to the PAX, the gaps between the concrete granules trapped ice crystals making our famer carries an especial surprise challenge. YHC grabbed his blocks and immediately lost a handle on one and it shattered on the pavement. Avoiding Tammy’s eyes, we moved on quickly.

If any set the blocks down – all do 5X BURPEES. Two rounds of that and we arrived.

4 Rounds complete with 3 Burpee penalties brings the rep count to – 15 burpees, 40 pullups, 60 burpee block jump overs, 80 curls, 100 thrusters, 120 block pumps and 1.0mi covered.

@palin’s fist bumps are no commodity in the gloom. They are a luxury item and should be treated as such. Once you get your one, that’s it. Don’t ask for another. You only have so many fist bumps to give in your life and he’s no charity.
@ziggy stardust forewent his streak point for this week at VI to post with the likes of YHC. The market experts called this a bad trade, but it warmed my heart. @cruiser, I’m giving this man 5 BFF points on the VI challenge spreadsheet.
@chisel was the only PAX who didn’t seem to feel surprised, intimidated or impressed by the beatdown. It just was and he took it in stride. This man could teach a seminar on how to face challenges in life.
@tammy gave the Q a courtesy “Ha!” when YHC called for 45 burpees after all PAX dropped their blocks to perform the required 5 during the farmer carry. Monday mornings are a business trip for this man. He’s about the work. Don’t joke about burpees unless your willing for this man to cash your check.
@lamb chop and YHC were in constant negotiations to reduce the rep counts, swap the exercise order, descend a ladder each round…etc. I finally compromised and said as more time passed we would have less time remaining. Deal.
@boomerang posted on his way to the airport to leave for Africa!!! He’ll be gone for nearly 3 weeks with burpees with lions and American Hammers with Safari the Beast on the itinerary. Can’t wait to read that backblast!
@zima kept reminding the Q how nice his workout must be without a weight vest (it was). In my defense, I would have preblasted “weight vest not recommended”, but @zima self disclosed that would only have insured he would most certainly wear it. Catch 22.
@rubber ducky was the music Q and crushed it as always. He admittedly was still daydreaming of his sunny and 75 in the island breeze former residence while acquiring frozen mulch splinters. Not many men could handle that hard shift in 24 hrs. T-claps Ducky.

I woke up not wanting to do this. Seeing you men this morning willing to do it with me made all the difference. Thanks for the opportunity to lead, Tammy. The keys are frozen in a block of ice like the acorn in Ice Age. Will need to wait for the next Bronze Age to get them back.
