WVUM FM 90.5 Live On Location at Village Idiocy

Forgetting that the original Monday F3 Winston-Salem workout is now skewing much younger, YHC planned this workout around the college radio station from his high school days, WVUM FM 90.5 aka The Voice of the University of Miami, complete with a stocked playlist of alternative tunes from 1985. 40 years ago. 8 pax posted, but 5 of them were not even born when these tunes were first released. Fortunately @DramaQueen and @Boomerang showed up and are “old enough”, but not sure how much they liked or appreciated the playlist.

The most challenging part of pulling this workout together was coming up with exercises that started with the letter “V”. YHC even had to create a new exercise called the Village Idiot. Tclaps to the pax this morning for helping to workshop this one. @Tonka rightly noted that it is really a hidden burpee. (#Shhhh). @BlindDate and @Slowpitch were not impressed with the Q’s choice of busy parking lot corners to do our tabatas until they were reminded that sparking the #FightOrFlight response helped burn more calories. @DramaQueen was super excited about the Uppercuts but was less excited about the playlist, even though he was born early enough to be alive for the original release of this music. He said he had switched over the Country & Western (#BothTypes) music by then. YHC tried to provide an appropriate challenge for @Zephyr, to no avail. @Boomerang was happy to be there, just basking in the post-win afterglow of our Deacons against DQ’s tarholes. (#4thBiggestRivalry) @Wahoo took pity on YHC during the Vacuum Cleaners and dropped him after just the first round of reverse wheelbarrow/derkins (#Tclaps)
