Dora 123 on Pilot View
Date: 11.12.25
PAX: Blind Date (humble), Zesty (late), Spicoli (really late), Schlitz (EC), Tax Break (machine), Greenspan (Q)
After an “easy” EC run with Schlitz that took us up an unending Buena Vista, we returned to the parking lot to find Tax Break and Blind Date waiting for the 2nd of 3 Qs for YHC this week. Surprisingly, Zesty, an HC, was not yet present. Unsurprisingly, the other HC, Spicoli, also was not yet present.

Leg stretches per Schlitzy’s request, SSHs, Abe Vigodas, Whirlies, Up/Down Dawgs, Cherry Pies
Zesty arrived just as we were about to head to the playground. So, we did some more stretching.
The Thang:
Mosey to picnic benches adjacent to playground:
- Table Hops x 30
- Wall Jumps x 10
Fully warm now, we moseyed up the steps and took a left on West End. We stopped at the bottom of Pilot View. Pax were informed that we would be doing Dora 1-2-3 in increments up Pilot View.
- First increment: West End to Carolina. Partner A performs merkins, Partner(s) B (& C) run up to Carolina and back. Flip flop and repeato until the grouping completes merkins x 100.
- Spicoli came barreling down West End towards us just as both groups were finishing up the merkins. So, now 3 groups of 2 & all HCs fulfilled, we moseyed up the hill together to Jersey.
- Second increment: Carolina to Jersey. Partner A performs squats, Partner B runs up to Jersey and back. Flip flop and repeato until the grouping completes squats x 200. Upon all groups’ completion, we moseyed together up to Jersey for the third leg of LBCs x 300.
- Which we split into two sections. For the first 150 LBCs, partner A would exercise, partner B would run up to the church drive on the left. Flip flop. Upon completion of 150 reps, we then moseyed together up to the parking lot on the right and finished out the LBCs. Partner A exercised, partner B ran up to Summit. Flip flop.
We then crossed the street to the post office, did some derkins x 20 and one-legged wall sits with Jack Reachers. Schlitz said something about having only 3 minutes left which triggered panic in YHC. We began sprinting home, but YHC had the forethought to fact check Schlitz. Unsurprisingly, there were 13 minutes left. So we pulled into YHC’s favorite parking lot between Pilot View and 5th Street and did burpees x 10 with a 4-count of lateral hops preceding each burpee. Satisfied, YHC led the boys home where we still had time for 3 minutes of Mary.
- Flight Attendants x 10
- Cobra Crunches x 10
- Glute Bridges x 5 (Slow)
- Glute Bridges x 15 (Fast)
- Pickle Pounders x 10

- Local food banks are empty. Be a HIM and throw a couple of cans of food in your cart & stop at one of the local pantries.
NMM:
- Ragnar seems a long time ago now. Going up hills like Buena Vista was once all in days play. Now it’s a kick in the [insert Schlitz word here].
- Spicoli missed the ~50 merkins at the bottom of PV but then completed all 100 by himself at the top of PV. YHC threw the 20 derkins against the post office wall in for bonus points.
- Spicoli and Schlitz were getting into some Lingua Franca shenanigans about bagels and hot yoga and Queen’s FBGs. It took a text message exchange with Schlitz to understand what was going on. YHC deleted the text message after it made me blush.
- Everyone was disappointed when we ended the slow glute bridges at 5 reps. Everyone was excited that we then did 15 fast followed by pickle pounders.
- Blind Date seems to have made a full recovery. He uttered some nonsense about running being the last thing to come back after some time on the DL, but he had no trouble on PV this morning. Glad to see him.
- Tax Break ran up Pilot View faster than I can run down a hill. Schlitz tried to get him to break character, but TB held it all in check. He might be the Terminator.
- Zesty started shivering and making the sign of the cross on his chest when we got to Pilot View. Running backwards up it a couple of weeks ago seemed to have left an imprint. Like Blind Date, though, the actual work did not seem to slow him down at all.
- Solid crew this morning that didn’t bat more than 3 eyes at Pilot View. Great job, men.
Always a pleasure F&B. We left the keys at the post office. Someone will have to ascend PV to retrieve them.
